Fremantle’s trade collateral for Jackson :
• Pick 13
• Geelongs round 4 pick : 70-72
• Their 2023 picks noting that if they trade their future 1st they can’t trade their 2nd or 3rd picks
• Logue - pick 19 if North get a PP?
• Acres - pick 28 maybe but that seems high?
• Tucker - ???

Does 13,19 and their future 1st get it done?

Leaves them with whatever they get for Tucker and Acres plus their future 2nd & 3rd

Trading Lobb makes more sense than keeping him
Logue pick 19??? Nelson must be worth 2 x 1st rounders then. I can't see how he could be rated so highly.

Also talk that North might split the #1 pick. Don't know how that would affect our chances of splitting pick 2 but would certainly have an impact.

Am I the only person outside of Freo, North and apparently Richmond that actually rates Logue?

He’s a quality key back. If people are writing him off based on his performance this year as a key forward/makeshift ruck that’s a bit unfair. He was shoved into an unfamiliar role because his team had a surplus of quality key backs.

I'd say he's an average third tall. Great athlete, bog average footballer and poor decision maker.

He has good athleticism and can shut forwards on a good day. He was probably never worth a top 10 pick though.

Logue was just being played forward to placate him IMO. He wouldn’t have been getting a game otherwise. Pearce/Cox/Ryan are far better

Jack of all trades, master of none

I think I'm harsh on him because of his initial draft position - but he legitimately reminds me of a back-line Jack Anthony.

I like him. Since grades are a thing now please see mine below.
It also looks like my first grader wrote his name :straining: #mousemuppet

Stop with that dirty talk...I can only take so much!

Think he’s good on the smaller Key Forwards, suited to taking the 3rd tall however probably doesn’t have A grade intercept ability that you want from a player that plays that role. Decent utility as he can in the right situation go medium forward or small and can push forward but certainly that’s not his strength.
I’m finding it hard to put a value on him. For North with them needing talls pick 19 might be right.

I recon Esava Rat from Geelong would be a better and cheaper pick up for North playing a similar role. He can mark too and is pretty quick.

He impressed me with the job he did on Darling

He's rated on the Brisbane board.

Just remember the Bell-North connection - so it’s highly unlikely they’ll push Logue into the PSD.

They would be mental to trade Pick 19 just for him though, given their bargaining position.

More likely Darcy Tucker (minimal value but contracted), Logue and a future 3rd for 19.

I would assume Freo will then need to use that in the Jackson trade because they’ll be needing to put together a few ‘pretty good’ picks, as opposed to the 2 really good picks that Melbourne supposedly want.

Similar to us with Kelly, without the unhinged Doomsday Preppers.

We’re in a good position to just sit back and watch what happens between Freo and Melbourne with Jackson

Bell won’t be able to **** around too long with the Logue and Acres trades because he’ll need time to deal with Melbourne once he has picks to work with. Then if he doesn’t have enough to keep Melbourne happy he may have to reconsider his position on Lobb

Take too long and we can get involved if time is running out

Would have to split 2 for that wouldn't we ☹️☹️☹️

Or tell Luke sorry there’s not enough time left to get a trade done but we’ll happily take you in the PSD

Pretty confident we are into english, why else woukd he resign for only two years aligning with becoming a free agent.

Lots of risk for the young fella there must be a payoff i.e. coming home

I've been told we either met with him or his management but not sure how serious it got

On Logue

Is it anywhere out of WA he wants?
Or specifically to Melbourne (the place not the club)?
Or just out of Freo - anywhere will do?

Only option 3 works for WC.

I'm not saying we're not into him, but isn't that just smart in terms of maximising his next contract?

Peter Bell is an excellent operator, his arrival in a management role has been a big part of their revival.
A change in management personnel, head coach and structure.
I doubt new players from draft picks and trades is going to turn things around for us, very happy to be wrong though.
Do we know why there seems to be a player exodus from Freo then? They are playing well, made finals and should be serious contenders but at least 5 are wanting to leave (their own home state as well).

Lobb
Tucker
Acres
Meek
Logue

Is there a cultural problem (or some other issue) under Bell?
