I've got a bizarre dislike for Hunt, always have, always will. Early days he was very soft, poor kick and just had speed, easy player to get stuck into at the footy.
He has improved, but still not a great player. Big noooo.

If GC are offering Bowes + 7 as a salary dump, the trade is effectively #2 + 2xF2nds for 5 & F1st.

If we finish bottom 4 and GC push near top 8, it's not much of a downgrade from their future 1st to our future 2nd.

I think this could be a win win, though don't be surprised to see a bidding war for the Bowes+7 trade happen.

We are in a good place to win a bidding war.

Suns would be remiss not to talk to us simply to heat up the competition.

He must hate Perth or flying every second week as:
1. He’s perfect for our age demographic
2. Open midfield spots galore
3. Melbourne winter is shit
4. We have plenty of open slots in the new gen of players as we transition out from the premiership heroes.

Overall message was we should be looking at him.
Fits the age bracket(24), can play mid and back.

Yes Bowes needs to be convinced. That is a given.

However the Suns do have a say as they are offering a pick to accomodate a move.

He is from North Qld so that helps.

Plus North, Hawthorn and Essendon all have dark clouds hovering over them ATM. One doesnt have a coach. One may need to start looking for another. Hawks are coping some very bad press ATM and would be an uncomfortableplace to be.

One thing Bowes knows if he comes to the Eagles is he will get opportunities. The club is stable and well resourced. It knows how to rebuild and win flags regularly. He is young enough to be there when we contend again.

But yes, we need to again......temper our expectations.

Why would hunt want to come to us ?

It would be for money that is all .

We would have to give him overs in cash to move interstate.

Rather throw the money at bowes as he would at least be in the age bracket we are looking for .

Chasing hunt stinks of us trying to shoot up the ladder again for one last shot !

Lots of people at the club thinking their job is on the line without success which is spot on
