If GWS are after Cadman & they have enquired about Pick 1 & 2 it means either us or North must be heavily into Cadman. If North pick Wardlaw then if they really want Cadman and want to jump ahead but we want him then the offer is going to have to be pretty dam good to convince us not to take him. If that’s the case I’d be asking for 3 & 12.

We hold all the power if GWS really want Cadman & north doesn’t take him. They need to offer something good enough that we decide Cadman is worth giving up for.

Lots of If’s involved & if they split picks with north it’s all be irrelevant anyway

If GWS want cadman and we want either of tsitas or Wardlaw then:

• no cost of us moving to 3
• maybe no benefit of GWS moving to 2 if cadman goes at 1.

I feel like if we move from 2, then 3-8 might be similarly valued. This is based on guessing and reading the same few rankings everyone else has read.

See i dont think we have a flag in 2018 without him. He could slinshot us out of defence with run and then weight a mm perfect kick to a running player. Weve missed him since hes gone.

You might be right we dont win the flag without him in 2018, he was good that year, but most years he was pretty crappy. But yes good point, he was worth having for the 2018 flag, overall though i dont think he was that good, I think he lacked consistency, he was really bad when he arrived at the eagles and really bad in the seasons prior to leaving, had a few purple patches in the middle of his run which were decent and critical to our flag but overall a very lazy player and as soft as butter.

Even if eagles offer to GWS 2,20,26,39 and future second for picks swap of

3,15,18,19 with giants

then offer port 3 for 8 and future 1st. Then go into draft with

8,15,18,19 and get ports future 1st next year

Come draft night I think we could probably get more out of them as well, including upgrading some of our second rounders into firsts.

I posted this in the List Mgmt thread but genuinely see Norf going Cadman which would ruin our plans somewhat or just leave bombers/hawks for Sheez maybe unless we select Wardlaw...

Trades withstanding, I would be flabbergasted if Norf didn’t select Cadman. He’s exactly what they need. They’ve been screaming out for this type since they let big boy Ben go for sweet * all. Surely they remember past mistakes and don’t make those same mistakes again. They’re set for young mids. They’ve obviously got their starting crew but they’ve also got Phillips and powell on the side. I just can’t see why they would select Wardlaw even if they lose JHF

I can see a lot of our fellow members are talking about Cadman as a potential 1, 2 picks. However, the available video shows that his agility is quite average. Set shot accuracy is questionable as well. Our Jack Williams might be even better. (time will tell)

Draft combine starts today. See if the draft combine tests can justify his high pick.

If JHF goes to Port, I would actually expect them to grab Wardlaw.

Eagles won't take Sheezel, so real danger for GWS that we'd be into Cadman, I could see them trading for #2.

Then you open the bidding for #3 between Hawks and Bombers, as both would be super keen on Sheezel.
