That Keys guy especially he hated that I might have Intel to the eagles recruiting, me an outsider loud-mouthed agitator in his eyes I wasn't part of his boys club, but lo and behold I validated myself. Many tried to discredit me, in life there will always be someone looking to take you down a peg, it's usually when your onto something and they are jealous. Winger for mine, he's quite slender but courageous - doesn't seem to squib a contest. He's got good enough skills and a good runner, so has some good assets. But he is a Cat B, so expectations are low but he could become an ok AFL player if he puts the work in.

Dewar though, he's the one that could end up being a very good player. Got lots of work to do, but if he does it and keeps developing could be a great pick.

So your crowning achievement is parroting what was already circling on social media and internet forums and now claiming it as the crowning achievement of your life?

On the draft here are my thoughts:

1. Would have preferred Wardlaw than the pick split but my Intel was that he was a bedwetter who wouldn't leave Vic so we had to salvage the best of a bad situation
2. Sheezel see Wardlaw
3. Don't mind Ginbey pick, hard at it mid with speed and athleticism
4. Would have preferred E Allan at pick 14 over Hewitt, Allen could be anything and I think with 2 picks in the first round we should have rolled the dice on him, hope we don't regret that pick
5. Liked the pick of Barnett, however I thought George was best available at our third pick and we should have taken him, only a small gripe though as I like Barnett pick and George is injury risk
6. Liked Burgiel pick, I would have taken cowan and let him replace Hurn for 2024, only small gripe

HFF looks good to me. His foot skills and delivery forward of centre is quite impressive.

My Intel was correct it looks like. As suggested by me eagles split picks and got 2 west Aussies. When I suggested this would happen months ago before the media reported it, many on here called BS said I was a liar. I also said eagles would never select phillipou based on my Intel. Also correct. I predicted west Aussies with pick slide so I was spot on. To my critics how do those lemons taste . It's nice to be validated when people have called you out and you prove them dead wrong. The so called experts on the forum are not as smart as they think they are. I have a reliable source of Intel within the eagles club whether the big egos here like it or not. Eat humble pie

Predicting Hewett!

We have been linked with him since he had a “train with” session as part of the AFL Talent pathways. That is why Simmo called him - he has a relationship with him and we have been indicating our interest. Ginbey was the MVP - I think all and sundry had linked him with us. You said WA talent and there were 5 WA boys taken from 8 to 18. The odds were pretty high. There were concerns on the whether Ginbey would go earlier. I had concerns a Ginbey-Allan pairing missed the mark.

I’d stand and applaud if you had of said that we will go local for R1 and likely interstate for R2. If you had of said we’ll go 3 mids and a tall would had been nice.
