So pick 1 is in play. Our % will improve but 5 wins looks optimistic and 80% would be something to behold

Real estate agents please note - there is a 4 year old celebrity house in City Beach likely to come on the market in the next 6 months.

Meanwhile Trev and Toddy will be brewing up a cunning plan.

Rohan Atkinson to be our number 1 ticket holder in 2024.

Do season ticket holders view their November direct debit as an investment or a donation. The difference is a tax deductible write off or one that attracts FBT.

Purely from a finance perspective if you never attended games and didn't give the pass off to someone else it could well be argued as a donation. (or gave the season tickets off to people with no chance of ever getting to games themselves, people with disabilities, children with illness etc) Would be a brave person with a lot of money to try pulling it off against an audit or in court.

I'm not sure how to say this. OK yes I'm an oppo fan, but I'm not having a crack you guys.

Based purely on the preseason showing, I probably have you in the bottom two still.

I haven't seen North, so I don't know if they're still North bad. But because they've been bad for a long time, they are pretty deep on young talented midfielders, and provided they don't have many injuries to their senior players, they could finish above you.

Hawthorn have f-all midfield depth, so I do expect them to fall in a hole at some point.
How do you rate Port then? Lost to us and got pumped by Freo.

The bottom ten are all pretty shit in any year. Hell, the bottom 12 are actually pretty average. 7 and 8 usually scrape in and do F all in finals.

From what I've seen we're definitely above Norf and Hawks. Port don't look anywhere near top 8, but in reality, the draw decides the last couple of finals spots.

Adelaide look to be ready to go up the ladder. Fair enough, as they've missed finals for 5 years.

You're a mug if you pay FBT. Just claim 80% business use and reimburse the last 20% so you can pay marginal tax rates.

We certainly need more quality tall forwards and ruck support.

Just reading an article on the Suns and the depth they have in tall forwards, they have a ripper academy tall forward this draft as well.

We should be targeting Joel Jeffries and or Chol. Would not cost too much pick wise.

They have Mac Andrews and King to come into the side plus another gun this draft.

And they have the 2022 U16 CHF in their academy for next years draft.

Andrews is being trained as a KPD.

Mac Andrew in about 2 years time to play as a key defender would be a great option.

Ain't nothing wrong with a tic-tac and some molly mate. Nothing at all....

Swerveability, showboating, headbands…the kid has it all!

From the words of old man Herbert… “I like the way your shorts whistle in the breeze boy”

No homo…well, maybe a little

Wait until he runs into Ginbey coming the other way.

Finish last and we will save him from that embarrassment.

There was talk last year about changes in our recruiting and list management departments (eg Rohan O'BRIEN leaving). Did anything eventuate?

Choo Choo, time to board the Reid Express

Just passing on some Dan Curtin intel.

  • currently an awkward KP height at 194 cm, but both parents are tall so decent chance he grows a bit more.
  • recruiters rate him a top 5 prospect
  • running a 6 min 30 2km time trial already.
  • greatest attribute is his flexibility. Not just a forward.
  • great character, real team man. Super unselfish in front of goals.
  • his colts coach rates his ceiling higher than Logan McDonald

I would love to see him at the eagles next year. Genuine gun.

I do think if we end up with a top 5 pick we really just go best available. We need upcoming talent in all lines really.

Lot of water under the bridge for us and the draftees. This time last year Lemmey, Scully & Broadbent were all expected to feature at the pointy end and only 2 got drafted in the end.

Also this time last year I didn’t think that we would finish low enough to pick Hewett, and he ended up as our second pick.

Is it the Calm Before The Storm?
We should of retired Gaff & Hurn this off season.
There are a lot playing for their careers this season.

Nic Nat & Shuey injured again this pre season.
We'd like to think Yeo will return to his best.
If we start the year off poorly retire them and grab the best talent mid season. We need it. Going to be a brand new engine room in 2 yrs.

You paint an interesting picture. I look forward to the post match interviews.
