Do you think holding protests in the middle of a pandemic is a good idea? it's not regardless of any argument you wish to make I'm sorry.
It’s obviously more important to the individual people who attended the protests after 200 years of oppression.

when you attend funerals every second month for family members, have a comparable life expectancy of 20/30 years less than white folk, higher suicide rates, and so on, it is more important than the risk of dying from a disease. It is survival for your family to attempt to Change the views of white Australia.

If you are bullish with your opinion of a blanket No, you are not capable of thinking about The people affected and the real situation they live in, every day for their whole life, from their perspective. You actually have no right to speak for Aboriginal people or black people.

The inquiry into Victoria's hotel quarantine program starts today. It's headed by a former judge. I think Andrews will be feeling worried. It's not a Royal Commission but I still think enough will be uncovered that will reflect badly on him and this government.

Issues under review include how the Andrews government chose the private security contractors, when and what ministers along with Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton knew about problems with the hotel quarantine program, the training provided to security guards plus their individual behaviours, and to what extent the virus spread from the hotels into the community.

Get over yourself mate I'm tipping I've had more involvement with Aboriginal people in my life than 90% of the woke white muppets at those protests enraged by an incident in another country.

275 new cases in Victoria, about 250 are linked to known outbreaks with the remainder under investigation.147 people are in hospital, 17 more than yesterday, and 31 in intensive care, three more than yesterday.
I'm no expert, but having 91% known links would surely make it easier to contain than days past.

Honestly I don't think these numbers are that bad - the concerning thing would be if it was to go 200 - 300 - 500 - 1000 - 2500 as has happened in many other places.

300 - 300 - 300 - 300 - 300 is not good, but somewhat manageable with this crackdown.
I agree. We're not seeing exponential growth and most of today's cases are trace-able, not community transmission. The numbers can be volitile - hard to predict what will happen tomorrow and in the coming days.

The hospital system isn't under stress but hospitalisations and use of ICU beds are at records highs.

Many of the confirmed cases are quick recoveries as well so once Victoria's daily count starts dropping, the active case count will quickly drop as well.

The wearing of masks becomes mandatory in Melbourne from midnight Wednesday. This of course has caused panic buying, with long queues outside chemists. So the measure meant to control outbreaks may in fact cause them.
When are the AFL releasing them in official team colours?

Those extremely low flu rates would be helping this year too

Three NSW border rats were all fined in the Adelaide Magistrates Court today. They sort of lied about requiring urgent medical treatment. One man did have an injured ankle but did not attend the designated medical facility he, and his mates went to the pub instead. The two men were fined $3600 and the woman $3000.

Labor has it right, these illegals should be gaoled. Police Commissioner Grant Stevens has indicated he will support such a move and the Marshall Government is considering it. Pull ya finger out Marshall and show the world we mean business.

Did I read somewhere pregnant mother of twins in ICU 🙁 maybe she is the 30yo?

Anyone who thinks this is just a little flu should read Kaillee Dykes story...

At least this is good news...

“She’s slowly making progress, breathing more and more by herself with the machine only providing back-up,” he said.

If we think Trump is bad we need to hold our breath with this Kayne West guy. West has an approval rating of 2% and looking at clips from his so called election rally it is not hard to see why.

West doesn't actually say that he tested positive for COVID-19 just that he was in bed with a fever. He does describe a vaccine as a 'mark of the beast' and believes that prayer is the only cure for COVID-19.

I was like wtf! when I saw his announcement in my twitter feed. Surely he is taking the piss!

There are some promising signs re vaccine trials. The main contenders appear to work with some side effects but the question is how long does immunity last? The Oxford vaccine which seems to be the leading contender may be ready by the end of the year.
