Unbelievable!! This is like something straight out of Yes Minister. I'm so fa;kin pissed off. FMD!!! It's my understanding that these two "cases", that are now false positives, heavily influenced the lockdown! FAR'KEEEENG UN-BA-LEEEVABLE!!

Really, then why did 99% of users rip them off the moment it ticked 6pm back when wearing them indoors was no longer needed.

And this mindset, my friends, is why we as humanity are in such a mess right now. They sure signal something but it's not courtesy, consideration and co-operation.

No, they get coverage for sure. That first link is actually from Global news which is up there with CBC for national coverage. I’ve seen that guy on morning news. They’re just not particularly hysterical about it.

In the big scheme of things, imo mask wearing is the most trivial thing to get all huffy about.

You don't spend much time outside, do you? Recreation wise.

It is completely ridiculous to enforce mask wearing outdoors when social distancing is possible, no matter the amount of cases.

Documented transmission outdoors? Zero? This is a staple of left politics in Australia, they don't want you to think for yourself and make conscious decisions.

Here it's only for 12yo and over, if my kid really didn't want to wear one or couldn't I'd get an exemption.

You’re missing the point. No one said it doesn’t exist. Just grossly over exaggerated and the propaganda machine was well oiled for this one. If you believe all the numbers that are spewed out as gospel, that’s your choice and I’m not about to get into why I believe they are wrong as I’ve had this battle for nearly 18 months.

You will work it out for yourself. The truth will be unveiled. I do believe that.

Over 1 million Victorians are under 12, and have never worn a mask, and continue not to. It's never been a problem, note too that these are the least hygienic people in society.
 
Children don't need masks at all, they are at minute risk of a bad health outcome from Covid and there has been zero evidence that asymptomatic children are contagious, they have more chance of a bad health outcome from the seasonal Flu(albeit still an extremely minor risk) and they don't routinely get the Flu vax.

Leave the kids out of this for f... sake.

You have no idea if it's a staple of left politics or not because none of the other states have been in the same covid situation as Victoria. When they have, if it's done any differently not only will I be amazed but I might tend to give the idea a bit more credit.

Didn't WA lockdown and mandate masks outdoors too just from a handful of cases? How's NSW going?

People in general terms who support left politics are happy to be led and told what to do by their government, hence that's how such governments rule. The right like to promote individual responsibility, in the hope that treating adults like adults (rather than children) might perhaps promote productivity.

Not rocket science - Only talk about Covid, scare the Nation silly with it - new strains, etc. Label yourselves the saviors, win elections. There's a heap of evidence of social and health shortcomings as a result of all of this, the government will keep the idiots focused on Covid, nothing else. As I keep saying, ALL the people who have a problem with Covid have one or more existing comorbidity, so why don't the government promote good health through personal responsibility? Why don't they drill this into everyone? A - idiots don't want to hear it, they want to sit, do nothing and be saved. They're all waiting on the fat pill now too, it's pathetic. It's just a popularity contest, all of this. The Vic government would bankrupt the state 10 x over to keep zero cases, even with mass vaccination.

Zero cases is a must. 1 case could be millions within hours and we overrun hospitals within days. Within weeks we are all dead. This beast will kill us all if you dont wear masks outside or if you dance at a wedding. This is serious, please be safe
