The ticket prices for the finals series are abo********ely ridiculous! Cost an arm and a leg to get to a game these days. Majority of tickets are $60+ and premium ones at Subi are $92.00! What a rip!!!
I mean ill pay cause i really want to go to the game, but geez it must be expensive for families wanting to take thier kids!!
Anyone else feel ripped off by the finals ticketing prices!?

Get a job & stop whining...........I'd love to be paying to see my team in the Prelim final.......whatever the cost.

yeah i know but it is ridculous for those who wont go because of the prices

if your team is playing in a prelim final in your hometown city & you consider yourself a true supporter then the price of tickets shouldnt come into it........you do whatever you can to get the ticket.......for some this is easy.........for others this is harder...............& for those that simply cant rustle up the cash for a ticket ........well they should be spending more time with their head in an oven.

The question to ask is why are the tickets so expensive?.

I have no problem with say a $10 premium being placed on the tickets for finals, but why does the price double?.

AFL is just a money making venture.

Have a cry as you wont need to buy any other finals tickets after this week. :)

aren't you an mcc member?

mcc members = freeloaders

afl member & essendon high mark (gold) member............

agreed mcc members should be whipped on the grounf for half-time entertainment.

We just paid $79 each for a prime ticket at the MCG. It's another $10 for a premium seat.

The following the week it ranges from $120 for a standing room ticket to $180 for a premium seat.

It's a lot of money but considering how much higher the AFL could increase the prices and still be guaranteed a full house we shoudn't complain.

The real issue is that despite the capacity of the MCG being 95,000 for the Grand Final, only 25,000 of those will come from the members of the two clubs. That's the problem.

MCC is the largest club in Australia.

$450 times 92,000 = $41 mil. PER ANNUM.

Hardly freeloaders. Our money built the MCG.

The AFL knows they have fans over the barrel when it come to finals so they feel entitled to screw them royally.

One day, the utter contempt they have for the fans who support the competition is going to come home to roost.

But a lot of people are happy to pay $150+ to go and see a rock concert which lasts about the same time or less as a finals game.

AFL is STILL one of the cheapest forms of entertainment.

Yeah lol your not wrong. Melbourne show or the big game so hard to pick. What would people offer for my GF ticket as they wont get one any other way :)

See you on www.ebay.com.au After this weekends games haha

Well, min. $70 a ticket basically ensures only fans of those two clubs go.
hence the predicted 60,000 figure.
Surely there is a happy medium whereby $50 a ticket ensures 80,000+ attend giving the same revenue (let alone the extra money from booze-food with 20,000 extra going).
I mean i like my footy, but $70 to go watch two teams I don't follow play??
I'd rather put that towards the cost of a G/F ticket.
