Its even harder when you cant get a constant message from one state as shown by the 4 different changes in QLD in the past two weeks...Travellers must have a covid test at day 5 after arrival, Day 5 tests are no longer required, A negative PCR test is required before travel, you no longer need a pcr test.

Didn't hear that one myself but I wouldn't be surprised. Even if it's not explicitly his role to directly handle bushfires/pandemics with his own 2 hands he should, as a career politician, understand how bad it makes him look not being a constant presence during such times. You have it backwards - the GBD authors went through AIER because the usual media channels they would've used didn't want to hear any policy counter to the mainstream narrative.

Look into the backgrounds of the authors, and if you still think their politics are in any way hard-core right wing then I can't help you. They didn't receive anything from AIER (or the Koch brothers, which was another smear against them).
