You overstate the Australian v Indian teams.. as its been reasonably even series..Virat is cooked, Sharma is done, the bowling attack is mediocre (other than the world's best bowler).
This isn't a great Indian team.
It's a pity we were so under prepared for Perth - this was the ideal series to win back the BGT.
To be fair the odds were way off 2 hours ago!He did post that 2 hours ago to be fair
A draw is paying $1.45. If we could do live betting in SA, I’d take the $3.10 on offer for the AUS win.
Joel Wilson special, guy’s a cancer to Cricket officiating.I get that it's umpires call.... but wow
Wouldn't be Australia's favourite umpire...Joel Wilson special, guy’s a cancer to Cricket officiating.
Because the captain told him to. Cummins has a love affair with short pitch bowling at critical moments. Surely you want the batsman to have to play the last six balls before tea.Ahhh Marnus
Gotta ask yourself why
DisagreeSafe to certify this pitch as a road
The warning signs were there when we scored 474 with an out of form batting line-up, and when Bumrah nearly went for 100 runs for the first time ever
Nearly confirmed when India had a ridiculous lower order partnership, and then fully confirmed again when we piled on runs in a 10th wicket stand, including two bowlers scoring 40+
The fact that players like Rohit and Marsh couldn't score anything on this pitch is an indictment on their current form
Disagree
If it were a road they'd be having a crack.

Again, less chance of making mistakes on a road. They're not having a crack because the only way they are getting dismissed is making mistakes, so they're using the road to force a draw which is in their favor (given a drawn series sees them retain the trophy)
Again, less chance of making mistakes on a road.
These 2 in particular don't really need to do much more than play their natural games to go at 4-5 an over.
Don't think that makes it a road, it's been pretty difficult to score all game. Why risk mistakes at all? The pitch being a road means there's little chance of being dismissed off defensive play. A draw here and a draw or win in Sydney is all India need. But a loss here would mean needing to win Sydney.

I'd say it's been a good Test match pitch in Melbourne for a change
Statistics would make a giant liar of that statement.I don't agree that it's been hard to score. Bowlers and players in average form have outperformed expectations.
A five day test on a old-style MCG slow pretty lifeless pitch like this on this tour benefits Cricket Australia coffers immensely & it gives Star Sports in India 5 days of content that they pay a large fee for and the MCC obviously also desperately wanted to maximise their coffers with Indian cash for this specific game.Safe to certify this pitch as a road

Reddy has averaged more than most batsmen on both sides, wasn't a huge shock to see him make runs. Sundar can bat too. What statistics?
We had Khawaja averaging about 20 from his past few tests making a half century. Labuschagne has averaged 30 for a few years and makes two 70s. Steve Smith makes 140 off 170 balls. Pat Cummins makes 40 twice. Nathan Lyon makes 40. Boland survives 70 balls. Reddy, who averages 20 at first class level, makes a century. Washington survives 150 balls to make a 50. Jaiswal looks completely unhindered in his first innings 80 until his brain fade run out.
The only players to fail have been Head and KL Rahul - and KL's first innings dismissal was a rare jaffa - and some really badly out of form guys (Marsh, Rohit, Kohli)
