Huge respect, for both Dangerfield & Adelaide as a team. As Mark Maclure said in the ABC call, played like no one told them they weren't supposed to win and they damn near did. Great game.
People were starting to question his finals temperament but he silenced them pretty quickly. His value increases exponentially now that he's shown what he can produce in a final at the G.
Thought he was extremely stiff not to get rewarded for holding the man a few minutes before the end, could have put them back in front again and he deserved to.

I thought that too, he played for it, but it was there.
It was technically there, I don't blame Dangerfield much though for staging a little considering the umps had been ignoring such fringements on Adelaide players all day.
But he was held without it, then dragged down and then the Hawks player sat on his back and prevented him from getting to the next contest.
He was real quiet for 3 quarters though. Not sure if there was something niggling him cos it didn't look like he was getting tagged. Good last quarter though agree.

Played a really good game, though tonight at times I felt his disposal wasn't as good as It has previously been. Though on the whole he played great, still had some game breaking disposals and fought hard.

He was Lenny Hayes like in that last quarter, did his best to drag his team across the line.

I heard something about him being poked in the eye before the game in the warm up. That might have had an effect.

Have to say I have, in the past, called Dangerfield overrated.
Today ( actually for a while now ) he proved me wrong...superb effort when it counted.

that last quarter was why he is my favourite player in the league! jesus i love him.. hes only going to get better and more consistent and by god look out. i think he will be the best player in the league in 2-3 years.. Everyone says fyfe or beams or martin or anyone is the best young player in the league.. Dangerfield is an absolute gamechanger.. Expect him to go down with a few brownlows by the time hes finished

What a gun. He's the pastiest player I've seen since Josh Thurgood and when he came off the bench after that big run in the fourth he was as red as a tomato (or Eddies head after a Collingwood prelim loss/Judd Brownlow victory), just shows how hard he ran and how much he wanted to win the game for his team.
