That seemed strange to me, initially.
It could / should have been a mistrial after the more serious charge was met with a hung jury after several resits. Now that the jury was maintained to hear the lesser charge, and agreed on the lesser charges (no guilty), it may be tough to run that back unless they appeal, which I'm not sure they will do. Procedurally it seems odd. In terms of jury, I suppose if they were convinced there were real reasons to fear the decessed was a threat to passengers, then that's where not guilty came from. Mixed raced jury it seems from the images.
