i believe that darren walsh may be getting the axe at pre-season coz i checked out Adam McPhee's profile and he's now supposedly taken numba 17 and darren walsh hasnt yet been changed

I think someone mentioned this on BomberBlitz - they've made a mistake on one of the pages of the AFL/Telstra run Essendon site.

Smokey is still #33 on the official club site.

Also have to remember numbers are not officially handed out until the family days which are generally held 1-2 months before the start of the season...

And Walsh arrived at the same time as McPhee. If McPhee had wanted his Freo number, he could have got it then.

I suspect Walsh is gone, anyway! Has one asset, which we need, but doesn't have any other assets.
