Melbourme, Hawthorn & GC have been mentioned as interested in him.

So what is he worth? 2nd or 3rd rounder? A pick somewhere between 20's - early 30's..

He's worth a fair bit, nothing too extreme, but he's capable of scoring a bag on his day and is an underrated ruckman. It's hard to get a gig in the Roos ruck line-up with MacIntosh being very good as well. Hawthorn would be a great move for him but seeing as he's a Gold Coast boy (I think), he'll end up there. I'd say a 2nd rounder, purely because of the draft situation this year.

late 2nd or early 3rd round, probably a pick in the 40 range would be pretty fair considering he has not played that much this year, regardless of reasons.

That's generous !

I thought that you didn't value ruckmen.;)

Gold Coast's pick 26.

Or even maybe ... maybe ... Hawthorn's end of 1st round compo pick for Brown if we chuck in like our third rounder too.

That one is laughable I'm affraid.

Hale is worth no more than a 3rd round pick at best.

I really cannot see hawthorn intrested at all

He's alright up forward, however we all set and dont need a forward, at best he offers us a back up ruckman spot, and it basically leaves us 1 down around the ground since he'll spend the rest of the time clogging up the forward line, we're better served in keeping Simon Taylor around.

I dont see us throwing anything of value (nor should we) at Hale.

You're in for a shock, I can realistically see Hawthorn parting with pick 19 to get him. Perhaps a swap in 2nd round picks as well. Hawthorn certainly won't get him with pick 35 (or whatever it is).

If we are offered less than pick 26, I would prefer to keep him.

The Drugs.

You must sell me some of your drugs.

Well bugger me sideways, I have seen it all.

Hawthorn must be pissing themselves.

What does that make it, around pick 29/30?

What is laughable is that the Hawks gave us pick 25 so we could get Bastanut(and Macmillan who debuted this year). Now Gibbo (Disco) will be looking for another club at the end of next year when you have Taz playing for you.
The GC will be parting with there pick 26,otherwise we keep Hale.I believe other clubs will try and get him for a 30+ pick and then the GC will come out and offer pick 26.
Wouldn't it be gold if we get a pick in the teens....

West and Blake from Geelong in the mix for any of Hawthorn, Geelong or Melbourne?

Hale is a better all round player than both of them. Not sure he is a better tap ruckman than Blake.

Melb is keen on Hale because he can go forward.

Anything below 26 is a no sale. He is contracted so not a big deal if a deal can't be done. He is actually a very good tap ruckman, better than Mc Intosh. Train him over a pre season as a ruckman and it wouldn't surprise me if he actually took a 1st ruck spot off a more favored ruckman.

If someone does pick him up, that team's supporters should take note that the Roo midfield has been very poor delivering inside 50 for the past 2-3 years and it really affects a forward like Hale. I have felt sorry for him for a while now. It is a pity if he does leave because I think the midfield next year will be twice as effective as the recent groups.

His worth will be determined by the demand. Like at an Auction - if you get 4 or 5 good strong bidders the house will sell well over the reserve. Hale is in the position to be sold to the highest bidder and that has the potential to be well over what his reserve price is. Not only Hale but a lot of players will move clubs for good picks - with GC and GWS coming in players values will rise.

There looks to be quite a few 3rd and 4th rucks looking for a change of scene this season, so I can't see any of them going for all that much.

Hale would be the number 1 ruckman at Hawthorn.

IF we're interested the deal should be Hale for Warnock (maybe a 3rd party required), both are just off best 22. I like that Hale can provide a long target but I worry about his defensive skills in the forward line.

Warnock wouldn't get a game in our backline.

We're moving Hale on because we can't squeeze him in to the side, so why would we want Warnock?

As for defensive skills, Hale is not quick nor is he any good at ground level. However, Davey, Wonammaeri(sic) & Co. would have a ball buzzing around his feet as he is virtually never outmarked either.

Every single team on this web site over rate their players. I would not be pointing the finger at one club.

True, but some are worse than others.

Here we're talking about a guy who is 26, only managed 12 games last year and is seemingly deemed surplus in a mid ranked team, and has never had a year that would be considered better than 'promising', yet the general opinion among his own teams supporters is that anything less than pick 26 ( ie, a first rounder ) is a joke.
