Next round I might take a shot everytime Kade Chandler drops a mark, might make it better to watch.

In our forward half and midfield the players that you can say are good overhead marks are Max, Trac, Fritsch, Van Rooyen and umm err umm [searching through team sheets] umm ...

God, where to start.

Even when we did lace out a forward they dropped it.

Of course it was humid and slippery conditions, but when has a Goodwin team ever 'adapted to the conditions'? Our abysmal record in wet and slippery games continues
I swear we play in the wet more than any other side. Worst El Niño ever.

Ngl I prefer the massive after game melts when we lose. This place is cathartic. Talking s**t about Melbourne players is my happy place

🙈

Stop with the positive posts mate..evening the balance around here.

Agree with Bucks. In a summer filled with drama, was nice to see some positive play and lowering of the eyes moving forward. Exactly what we've asked for. Some people are just too hard to please though mate.

Shortest dynasty in history. This season is gonna be a burning hot pile of garbage. Was onboard, but totally off now. How tf did I think we'd win with a F50 of Schache, Laurie, Spargo and Chandler!? Worst F50 in decades.

Until Goody and Stafford GTFO, this club is cooked.

Honestly when we play like this yeah I do want us to lose. I hate winning with this style absolutely despite it, was happy to collect my money in September and was happy the swans belted us in the last. Would rather us lose playing attacking than win playing this

When we play like that I'm happy to see us lose. Winning games playing like that has been the death of this team. The only way it will get thru to the thick heads in charge is by losing playing this style. I would go as far as to say that if we finished outside the 8 in 2022 we'd be in a far better spot than we are now coz it would have brought about a change and some urgency.

Feels a bit more real, doesn’t it? Hating Melbourne brings back some great memories

The fugly part about it was that nothing was surprising.
Could have easily been a replay of a 2022 or 2023 game.

Same bottom end players getting a game and doing **** all. Sparrow, Chandler, Spargo. Billings looks to have slotted into that group nicely.
Still no strategy to get Rivers and Bowey more involved in the play up the ground.
Senior players still making all the same mistakes each of them usually makes.
No noticeable change whatsoever to the method going forward but that's hardly surprising, this is MFC under Goodwin.
Schache being picked as CHF and back up ruck is a total embarrassment.

On the positive side, Howes was impressive after a slightly nervous start. Windsor showed plenty and you'd expect him to have some really good games at times this year based on that debut. Viney and May did what you'd hope and expect they do.

Not sure who sucked more the MFC or Alpine F1 team

Melbourne is brittle AF now, not sure how we got here

Loved in the first quarter where Windsor got it on the wing, danced around a few then bit off a 50m kick into the corridor. Didn't work out from memory but the kid isn't short on confidence
Should have worked, was to a 2 on 1. Trac and Sparrow IIRC. One of many times during evening we ****ed up with extra numbers around the ball.

And probably the only time we kicked the ball into the corridor in the whole game despite how many wanted to tell me how we'd changed lol
