One thing we cant bag Carlton about is their process to select a coach. We havent exactly got a great track record of going through a thorough process either.

Worsfold said he was leaving, we didn't even have to sack our coach and we still didnt do a thorough process..

They believed they already had the right coach in-house. The private sector headhunts people all the time.

This has been argued ad-nauseum. Let's not rehash it. Rutten has clearly demonstrated that he is, in fact, the right person for the job. So the process that headhunted him may very well have been deliberate and appropriate.

That’s not much of a comparison though. Hind is a fraction of the winger/mid that Hill is, and miles behind Paton, Webster, Dmac, Geary, Clark and Coffield as a defender. Hind struggled for a game with us because he was behind all of our defenders as a defender, but he gets a game for the druggies because they prioritise speed and run off half back; it’s also why they got flogged by ten goals in the wet against a true finalist.

Don’t fall for the lie that Hind is twice the player because of insightful coaching at the dopers, it’s just the media lie that the jumper makes them better.
