Just interested to get a gauge on whether we all complain about the same things on our own club boards, or if it’s confined to certain supporter bases.

I’ve listed a few regular topics on the Crows board, so if I’ve missed any, feel free to post them!

Would be also interested to see if the same common phrases come up…
‘I won’t watch this week if X is/isn’t playing’
‘We have no plan B’
‘I will be emailing the club if something doesn’t change about (insert any topic listed)’
‘X player needs to request a trade as we refuse to play them’

Umpiring is the stupidest complaint known to man.

Not sure about afl but I know for a fact that in rugby league at least at lower professional levels, they are coached, literally coached, to be observant of the count and where possible, to look for opportunities to level it up at least a bit and I can’t imagine AFL would be any different. Optics are important and the AFL is not stupid enough to be oblivious to the fact that supporter groups think that the league is out to get them

Interstaters #VICBIAS
Victorian clubs #otherclubbias

The things you list are common for any club when things are not going well on field.

The problem with umpiring is there are too many ridiculous grey rules that are now applied or not applied depending on the umpires decision, while they miss so many incorrect disposal calls and holding the man, the best thing at the footy apart from a big mark or goal is a great tackle IMO.

Pretty sure that the northern clubs aren’t complaining about academies.

Victorian teams aren’t complaining about the MCG Grand Final deals.

People who incessantly complain about umpires and blame them for losing are emotionally undeveloped adult children.

Emailing the club with complaints? Lol

Must be an Adelaide thing.

Honestly think none of your poll options apply to us.
Not a lot of common complaints.

When we were down, I'd tick all of those boxes. Coaching and lack of Plan B were huge.

There isn't really any complaining this year. More people with receipts still calling out others who have expressed negativity at any point.

It's coming though ... I can feel it in my bones.

Also all fans when players leave - he's a mercenary/mummy's boy.

Fans when players stay - he took under because he loves the club and he's a good bloke.
Player comes from other club..brilliant recruiting. Great get. Player leaving a shit club where he was mistreated. Great bloke

Player goes to other club. Money hungry.

😂

Great player leaves club and continues to be great at new club = we turned him into a great player.

100% if your team is not winning the same things will be said by everyone.

  • Just play the kids (even though the kids aren't ready and the older players are actually, you know, good)
  • I don't mind if they lose I just want to see the team have a go (A strict maximum of 1 gallant loss is allowed per year if you're lucky. Any further loss will be a sign of insufficient desire, no matter what actually occurred.)
  • Game plan is stuffed (No one able to articulate what the game plan actually is, the same for the other more successful plans at other clubs)
  • Coach has too many favourites that will never be dropped
  • We should offload these 3 (ordinary) players to another club in exchange for their great player. They will accept this deal because 3 is a bigger number than 1. This will also solve all our problems.
  • Umpires/AFL are out to get us (This applies even when the team is winning)
