Do we need a crowd noise only function when watching games?

Should we have the ability to choose crowd noise only rather than commentators?

Honestly the commentating is total appalling these days. If one side is on top they spend their whole time literally talking up the opposition to the point where they are barracking for them. And when it comes to the umpiring they just ignore blatant mistakes, clearly under instruction from the AFL. Others who have made calls about certain teams/players openly barrack (Hello Kingy!!). Some openly cry when their former team loses (hello Luke Hodge).

All I want is the atmosphere, so how about it, with smart TV's surely we can have the crowd only option. It would let the networks know what the punters think of them.

I would watch every game with this option. Which is why they won’t do it. The AFL controlled talking heads wouldn’t have the opportunity to dramatise and sensationalise things like the live ladder, or how much of a carnival vibe gather round was.

Or bullshit like-
Rompingwins: “Daisy’s out on the ground with Danger.”
Daisy: “Thanks Hame. Paddy, how are you feeling about this one?”
Dangerfield: “Yeah, feeling pretty good.”
Daisy: “Back to you boys upstairs.”
Rompingwins: “It’s great access.”
