Mr Trump is among 19 people charged over an alleged criminal racket designed to overturn Joe Biden's crucial win in the state of Georgia.

This is the fourth criminal indictment for Mr Trump. He also faces separate, federal charges relating to election interference, as well as charges of falsifying business records and mishandling classified documents.

Those cases are being prosecuted in courts in Washington DC, New York and Miami respectively.

He's still running for President, none of these indictments make him ineligible. I won't even be surprised if he's allowed to be President if he's found guilty and gets a prison term.

I've never witnessed anything as pathetic as a NPD person seeking to use propaganda to influence a criminal trial. He failed of course. Problem is that those that buy into his BS will be more aggrieved and more supportive of DT as he contests the election. He is seriously a dangerous person. He only cares for the adulation he can engender and by any means legal or illegal. We must hope he fails to get elected again

The maximum sentence is 4 year each and every offence. The consensus is he won't get a jail term but the judge fined him 10 times for breaching a gag order and still he did it. I hope those breaches add to the circumstances that convince the judge to jail him.
