This is from the AFL site; The article said Essendon went to speak to the AFL on Monday and we went on Tuesday, it doesn't say who proposed it.

Maybe someone has already posted it?
Bombers football boss Rob Kerr told the Herald Sun: “Essendon approached the AFL on Monday to get an understanding of whether it was possible.
“The situation remains that Essendon wants fair compensation for Paddy, who has unarguably just had the best year of is career, and as this scenario demonstrates the club is open to explore all possibilities but the outcome must ultimately be of benefit to the club.”
Dont want Kavanagh anywhere near Port Adelaide to be honest. Im sure theres another player we could trade for.
I wonder if a few more Essendon players come out in the next day or so stating they want out so they can try and jump on the trade to Port Adelaide with Ryder.
Either way, shit is getting real now and it'll be a very interesting next few days.
If you couldn't stay away from this board over the past week, you'll have your phone, computer and tablet all locked into this thread over the coming days.
This thread to reach 200 pages before Friday lunch time.
I did zero work last year when the Polec trade was heating up...
How or why Gorringe would want to Go to Essendon is beyond me. Did he not nominate us as a trade destination?

It's extremely funny that they initiated this, read there board and its us that did with no basis that we did and we are being slimy people and blah blah blah, supporters turning into there officials its everyone else s fault lines. What it does explain to people though is why we sought some legal advice yesterday, essendon would of put it to us we would of sought legal advice then went to the AFL if its possible, then they would of discussed with all parties how it would play out if we went this line.
It is even funnier that after complaining about us offering steak knives that someone thought that it was unfair (in a hypothetical trade) that we would get Kyle Hardingham, the spud who couldn't get a game + ryder for 17. So basically they get an extra pick 21 on our initial offer and we get some spud that can't get a game for them and they are the victims again. Even though they ******* proposed the idea to Essendon.
