Doubt he’s going to ask for a trade with 5 years left on a deal, but he still can be pissed off about the way it was handled.

He and his family were most likely pretty pissed. But he obviously enjoys the club. There is some experience around the club. Tex was a problem child too at times, so was his best mate Bern. So there is some good mentors around the club as to the right way to deal with a punishment, even if you feel it to be unjust. Play the game, prove everybody wrong. If you leave in a huff by spitting the dummy then it kind of only proves detractors right about your attitude. Its a no win situation.

I suspect once Dawson and Nicks sat down with him and his family pretty quickly after the comments were made, they didnt have too many concerns. Sid is a very different character to Josh as well, cant see him pulling too many of those celebrations or comments.

What the hell do you mean by “those celebrations or comments” !?!?

Am I missing the sarcasm?

I have no problem with the celebrations, though running to the crowd and rubbing it in their faces probably wasn't the wisest move.

I mean that Sid is unlikely to draw attention to himself in the same sort of ways.

Settle down Sunshine.

He is Rucci lite.
At least Rucci was critical for genuine reasons and yes Port Adelaide bias.

Rucci also had genuine connections on the clubs, although less so at Adelaide. And he checked facts, old school journalism.

Money is just generating click bait.

I respect Rucci far more than modern click bait generators.

Sunshine? Ok Tiger.

And I bet most supporters didn't think that at the time - I bet most supporters loved it.

Do you feel the same about all players? All celebrations that point at the crowd? Should Izak get pulled up for his "shhhh" too - what about other celebrations like the hand to the ear I've seen plenty of times?

I hope we don't tell our players to stop being themselves. If that means them giving to the crowd - no problems. If that somehow influences our ability to win or perform, we are in real trouble.

It's supposed to be entertainment.

It's the mindset of the club

Rachele has some banter with the crowd. That lost us the game! Dropped.

Murphy doesn't touch the ball in the last quarter in a tight loss. Good structure keeping, here's a leadership group position.

It took you a few days to come up with that, and once again youve completely missed the point.

I'm on record as saying im not a big fan of those types of celebrations, its just not my thing. Should Josh have been hauled over the coals for it ?? Absolutely not. The pile on was ridiculous. If thats how its gets them up and about then thats fine.

All I said was I dont think Sid is that type of character, much more introverted and reserved. And thats fine too.

I dunno, give me a try.

I'd love to see what you are talking about. Should be easy enough ... just post it here.
The post i responded to was about Draper and his family being upset over the handling of the Rachele.

All I said was he's unlikely to put himself in a situation that Josh did because he's a different character, which you took WAY out of context.

Your problem, not mine.

My question around what you said was based around you taking a position that puts (a) Rachele's celebrations and comments in some sort of bad light (b) Sid wouldn't be pulling that sort of thing.

Really weird. Hence my question.

You escalated it with the "sunshine" jibe. Then with the "above my comprehension" rubbish.

Let's just all hope that Sid stays on the straight and narrow - and doesn't get led astray early. I mean HEAVEN FORBID.

I didnt put them in some sort of bad light, I just said thats not Sid's go, you took it out of context and went on with it. FWIW I loved the Essendon match winning goal, ran straight to our fans to celebrate.... that was brilliant

Ahhh it is a comprehension problem.

When you say “pulling” you don’t think of that as having a negative connotation?

Let’s just agree that when Sid runs at the Paer crowd after they have been calling him every name under the sun as he slots the winner - we will both be happy on the inside

You've really beaten the dead horse on this one.
