Chris Schmidt - what's his job security like for the remainder of the season?
With the way our injury list is going this year... he's probably got a job for life. Seriously - it depends on how many players we manage to get back from injury and what positions they fill. He's probably safe for a while longer.

Would more than likely be van Berlo, judge the effectiveness for yourself

Speaking of VB, what are opinions on him for DT? Started off the year slowly but the last 3 weeks has gone 105, 80, 108 for only 330k.

Need a Vince replacement :( , and with him and Edwards out, VB could be looking at more time on ball than usual? Or will a tagging role effect his scores negatively?

Cheers.

Probably not a bad choice for DT, the question is whether or not his body stays sound. He has always seemed to rack up some reasonable numbers, so no reason why he shouldn't average around 90ish for the rest of the season.

I need a Vince replacement too, but I'm looking at Burgoyne.

Hey guys, with Edwards now retired, do you think that Armstrong is going to get a good run this year starting this week obviously, he looks good bit skinny, played well a couple of weeks ago though, do you think he will hold his spot, i am thinking of getting him in for Bastanic this week and then upgrading Tippet to Sandilands, which brings me to my next point do you think Tippet can recapture any of last years form, i have persisted with him but hes ave is 54! Its killing me, would love to hear your thoughts, by the way Will Young is a good family friend of ours from Ballarat, i think you will have yourself a star there in the next couple of years!

What is the latest on James Sellar???
whilst only recently returning from injury, Griffin has outperformed him in the SANFL as a ruckman, and thus has been given the opportunity to line up for the Crows this week. Griffin's AFC career is on the line. if he doesn't perform decent or well this week, he may very well be dropped the following week and not return to the line up again, which would put Sellar next in line to take up 2nd ruck role. basically, Sellar coming into the side will most likely depend on how Griffin goes in the ruck this week.

Hey guys sorry about your loss we had our own dissapointing loss too :(.

Is Bock going to miss a week do you think (anyone see the limping off?)
?

Thanks guys.

I would definitely stay well away from VB. The lad is very injury-prone and him missing 2-3 games before the end of the year is almost guaranteed. That's not to say that once he gets injured he finds it really hard to regain fitness which something you should avoid in a DT player.

Also, times have changed and upgrading to the best avaliable (Swan/Ablett/Montagna etc.) is nowadays the logical decison. I'd rather fork out an extra 100-150k and get a Swan/Montagna who will average 25-30 PPG more than VB.

Didn't look good from the TV footage. Heavy bandaging and icing of the hamstring/groin region. We'll have to wait & see what the medical report is in the morning.

Thanks Vader appreciate it.

Please post here if you find out how many weeks he is out for mate if you can.

Cheers

Apologies if this has been asked before, but is Jaensch finished for the year?

I don't think anyone knows. He did a lot of damage when he had his big night out on the town with Vince. He'll have his work cut out for him in regaining the trust of his teammates and coaching staff.

Will he make it? Maybe, maybe not. We like what we saw of him, but we knew he was damaged goods when we drafted him.

Dude, it really wasn't that big a deal, a weeks suspension but can still play in the SANFL? Come on, clubs dish out week's suspensions these days at the drop of a hat. With the way our season was going, the club felt they had to crack down on any lapse in professionalism, no matter how minor, lest it spread amongst the playing group. Just because our season's over doesn't mean our players can just do whatever, hence an example was made, simple as that. They could have fined them, but what's a $5000 to Bernie or Stiffy? Nothing really, it might hurt Jaensch, but then you've got the issue of double standards.

The reason Jaensch isn't back is because his form for Sturt quite simply hasn't warranted it and his spot has been filled. He'll be back, I'm sure of it, just give him a couple of weeks.
