This one is tough, and is the game that might very well decide our chances of the flag. In a year where the premiership favouritism is so evenly spread, whoever is contending is going to need every advantage they can get, which means home finals and double chances. If we lose, it's odds on we won't get first or second, because that relies on four big upsets in two weeks to the other four teams - we win two, we keep the position, we don't and we're either away or fifth (Edit - 4th...forgot GWS lost)...

I don't buy any of that "better to finish fifth" or "we're the team that can take it from anywhere" crap - it's even more critical this year for any contender to walk in with advantages, because noone is superior enough to anyone else when circumstances are level...

No cockiness here...this won't be easy...

Agree with most of your post, however lose to the Eagles and beat the Pies and we most likely finish fourth...though I don't relish an away final to the Swines.

NO idea what to expect this week. The punters all think West Coast found some form and belief last week and Nic Nat back is good for them. But that match would have taken a bit out of them, along with the travel and back to back six day breaks might leave them a bit flat tonight. As usual, just hoping for four points and no injuries... and a comfortable win because with work again early tomorrow morn it's too difficult to sleep with adrenaline pumping from a close one!

What are you doing on here mate? BF is no place for reasoned, balanced and sensible commentary - be off with you! ;)

The only thing in our favour if we finish fifth this year is that ridiculous extra week's break (the second bye) that the AFL have put in. If the worst happens and we lose, the extra week's rest in a longer finals campaign will be to our advantage.

Having said that I think we can win tonight - GO HAWKS!!!

With Sicily and Litherland both flying over there's almost certainly going to be a late out.

If Sicily wasn't a good chance of playing I reckon they would've left him behind. And if it was Burton that was coming out that would've just been done at selection last night. Hopefully it's not Gunston. But I think it could be :|

And said in preview thread I reckon Brand might go out for Litherland if it's wet.
