Some of the better 1st XVIII players of 2008, who dont get the glory but should be looked at in a squad:

Llewyn Butler (GC)
Sam Lloyd (GGS)
Brandon Howarth (GGS)
James North (BGS)
Tom Liberatore (SKC)
James Orr (Hail) - especially as Cordy will be out
James Woods (Xav)
Alex Keath (MGS)

alex keath is in year 10 and even though extremely good i doubt they'll pick him. just like when they didn't pick him for the APS cricket team when he should of been in it. i doubt any year 10's have ever made the team

Its easy to name all these state players and TAC Cup listed players, but this team never consists solely of these guys. Surely a lot of these guys wont play and instead focus on their TAC Cup duties.

So how many will play and who from outside the TAC Cup system will play?

No one is going to make room for those three when there are plenty of other players who are just as good

North from BGS is a gun in the forward line, playing second to no one other than Watts and Woods from XC would have to be by far the hardest working and most skilled backman for his size in the APS and also yr 10 Ben Jacobs are all supremely skilled football players as well

No year 10s are included in the squad.

last year scully, cachia and hannebury would nearly have all made the team, let alone squad.

liberatore
keath
jacobs
steve may

are all good players, but wont get a look in unfortunately.

correct me if im wrong, but didnt someone post a few months back that there would be a yr10 APS v AGS game?
anyone confirm or deny?

Still only U16, hard to believe he'll be picked for this team.

not to mention Andrew Gaff arguably beter than libba, keath and may

Unfair on the Wesley boys here. Although they aren't traveling well they do have some decent players. Simon Hall has racked up possies off half back and set up the plays and drives all season with his left. Ford could also creep in there

you gotta be kidding keath and may r so good its ridiculous
MAy is massive for a year ten and will definately play AFL kicked a goal from 50m on the weekend and it went about 15m past the line (dunnno if it was 50 but it said it was).
