Re: EB Games - AFL Live demonstration dates and discussion

Can someone describe (or post a pic of) the queue/crowd waiting to see the game? I am curious to see if it is big/small/monstrous/non-existent. Surely there are one or two BF posters there already with iPhones

Re: EB Games - AFL Live demonstration dates and discussion

At eb chadstone right now. There are two big ant reps explaining controls and are very helpful. Game feels great. Very fluid. Easy to run and link up handballs like in the modern game. Graphics are decent. Not FIFA quality but the camera is drawn so far back ( which I like) that it doesn't matter. I will post more detail later as well as a video or two. I did feel a fair bit of pressure though as James Frawley was watchin me play as Melbourne.

Could you tell who most of the players were while playing the game?

Re: EB Games - AFL Live demonstration dates and discussion

Well I've just spent the last 3 hours playing the game. Met Ross and had a pretty big chat with Andy (I think it was Andy).

Have to say I'm pretty impressed. My expectations weren't through the roof however, but the game is certainly a very slick and polished product.

I was pretty new to the controls so most of the games i played were a bit scrappy, but I did get the hang of it with the help from Andy, so i started to play pretty well. (was playing every game with the bombers ;) )

The controls are fantastic, easy to pick up and play, but there's also some very in-depth controls to master to make the experience even so much better.

Camera angle is good. It's sort of like FIFA just a bit pulled back. My favourite element of the game was handballing, as Andy put it 'handballing is your friend', and he wasn't wrong. Had a few slick plays from the middle with link up handballs and handballs out of tackles which was great.

Overall the game is fantastic. Big Ant have done an absolutely amaaaazing job to re create this complex sport of ours into a really fun, quick game to play. I can see myself spending hours on end with this and still not getting bored.

Not sure what else to say, if there's any questions fire away.

I asked this on the other thread to, but we all know how easy it is for questions to be missed with the amount of posting that goes on there.
Hows the commentary?

Didn't get to hear, all sound was turned off.

Don't mind repeated questions. I'm sure if these events were held in other states you guys would answer all mine :p

i got 3 Questions.. sorry bout so many lol..

1) Was it clean, like no glitches that would effect the pace or vision of the game?

2) Was there a moment in the game that you are gonna dwell on like an amazing goal or mark or play until you actually get the game?

3) Was there at any point where you got frustrated with anything and wanted to rage quit?
