Eddie McGuire was on 3AW and said that he had a talk with JB today about what Collingwood can do to help with match day sponsorships, fixturing and the like.
He then said that wants a summit of all the club presidents, CEOs with the AFL commission to talk about all the 17th club issue.
He said that at the same summit (quote): “I want everybody to put their hand up and say we want North Melbourne in, even if it we have to give them $4m a year or $3m a year. So we don’t have this cancer in football at the most prospers time in the game, where we’re talking about ‘will the Brayshaw plan survive?’. No, let’s decide that North Melbourne are staying in the competition. And whatever it needs to do, get them working, and let the best business planning in there. Get the best advice to get the Kangaroos work. And I want to play them forever.”
