Like him or hate him, you cannot doubt McGuire's influence on re-building the Collingwood brand. Those who wish to see the back of him should stop and think where the Pies were back in 1999? (Wooden Spoon and broke) They played in two Grand Finals in a row just 3 & 4 seasons later, almost toppling the mighty Lions!. He's an easy target, juggling media commitments and the presidency of the most famous football club in Australia cannot be easy. Particularly when that club was almost down for the count when he took over. Caro hates him, i'm sure deep down Eddie has no affection for her either. We all like to take the piss out of Eddie, but he would be sorely missed if he packed it all in.

eddie has been good for the pies as he is the face of the pies and the ultimate mouth & promotional tool!
