Perhaps DP will just make it a light training session and not show off their best players until they get a more reasonable team to compete against. They will obviously win even if they just field their reserves team.

Or WM will just forfeit the game so the for and against isn’t that bad.

My thoughts exactly! Also frees up other volunteers to do more bigger important jobs. Though it would be nice if everyone cleaned up their own mess lol.

Thats what community football is all about. This lets the adult voluntees available to do other tasks. You wouldnt know, I rekon you would be one of those blokes that doesnt take out a membership or donate to a local club.

I reckon the players could clean up their own mess which would save the club some $$ and god knows they need every cent atm!! I have no affiliation with any Div 1 club. Prem yes, I certainly do.

I think they get the kids to clean up the mess that adults leave around the ground after the game. Let’s face it supporters never use bins and leave there beer cans and rubbish around the ground.
Some Councils then charges sports club a cleaning fee if they have to clean up the mess after games if the clubs don’t. (Cheaper to get kids to do the work)
 
Junior players at almost all clubs would be involved with the canteen, running water, doing the scoreboard, putting out and removing sponsors signs/boarding and yes even picking up rubbish after the game.

Normally they get a nominal $10 from one of the committee otherwise it might be a free hot dog and drink. In the canteen they get paid actual award rates.

I'm not surprised that people are shocked that these jobs are done more or less voluntarily as its my experience that a lot of people seem to think these things just magically happen.

What do you know potato chops, EK didn’t take a cent, Pat is good mates with Victor and the St Albans president. As a matter of fact Pat help to broker the deal for Victor so there is something for you.😂😂😂😂

Good on ya mate that was nice of you. Why hold him as he did give you pretty good service during his short stay at EK. Also he was looking to go to St Albans prior to landing at EK.
You guys got any more recruits or done?

It’s good Pat is mates with many, however past rules for clubs entering the EDFL is that they cannot recruit from other EDFL clubs senior, junior, women, netball for a period of 2 years….full stop. The rule re - agreement between clubs is when more than 2 in a particular age group what to transfer from one existing club to another existing club. The EDFL board may have changed a rule, again, or they may have forgotten the original rule that protects the existing EDFL clubs. Given the profile of the board, more the latter.

The integrity of the EDFL board has been on the decline for a while. Questionable decisions including the junior grading fiasco, the monitoring of player points, the embarrassing behavior of Bevis and Butthead ( Mr and Mrs Kyte ), and of course the inclusion of 2 premiere teams into the league. Lets hope the new guy does a better job
