Last 5 games Port have played 18th,17th,16th, St kilda and West coast. Not in that order.
Last time we played em we jumped em but scored something like 1.6 to their .1 and it looked like we coasted to the finish line.

With the Talent and exp we have this is a game we should be able to muscle through.
No injuries or reports let’s just knuckle down and get over the top of ‘em.
Want to see some goals from Yassir and GA’s from Brennan and Poppy to sit on Shloz’s head with Mark of the year.

Port Adelaide has loaded up in its extended Sunday squad. Matilda Scholz (calf), Abbey Dowrick (general soreness), Julia Teakle (knee), and Alissa Brook are all in the frame for a return in the Power's first ever AFLW final. Jo Miller is the only confirmed out at this stage.

Charley Ryan has been omitted from Richmond's extended squad, with Charli Wicksteed, Laura McClelland, Molly Eastman, and Jemima Woods all a chance to play in the Tigers' first final since 2022 (S7).

All ins for Port (except Alissa Brook) named on the ground too!

All those ins played in the Rnd 5 game.
We went with Laura Mac and T Luke and broke even on the H/O.
Shevlin kicked a goal but that’s the game she did her ankle and only played 48%.

They’ll be up and about and maybe as many as 11,000 in the crowd.
If we want to attract good players who want to play finals we need a good performance

That's right, Poppy didn't play that R5 match. Lot better with her.

In our only final in S7 we were outclassed by Brisbane and Nth. This time around there is none of that. We should get over the line but if we don't it will be a case of us beating ourselves.

wish wicksteed got the call up, haven't got to see her all year (didnt watch the vflw games)
From her last season showings, I expected her to step up this season with a pre-season under belt - appeared to have as good a range of skills as any. Not sure what happened this season.

Hard to work out what goes on without a second tier comp running alongside AFLW but it was always going to be difficult for players like Wicksteed to get a game with all of our mids pretty much playing a full season.

Can see why Eastman was given the nod given she can play back as well as further up the ground. Just a long time between drinks. Would have liked Laura Mc in there somewhere.

Very interesting comments by ex coach Nathan Burke.

Pretty much said there are players running around just doing their minimum while others are putting in extra hrs and are totally committed to their AFLW careers and there is nothing clubs can do about it. He cracked it with his players and got sacked over it.

I watch Brisbane pretty closely and they are full on into it. They don’t allow passengers in that team.

Yep, Laura not as polished as Molly, but gee she has some hardness about her that wouldn't be wasted with Hosking out. We shall see!

Correct, it is competitive up here and no passengers.

When we get passed Port, we play the loser of Hawks and Brisbane - and at this stage it is looking more like Brisbane, with the Hawks playing all over Brisbane to half time. We could be beat Brisbane, doubt we would be the Hawks, that have the players and the game plan to roll us again - gee they look good.

Lions in front and up for grabs now in the last.

Lions one on one footy got them there in the end - getting West accountable for every disposal pulled her back, and the kicks that fell short for Brisbane in the first half, started clearing isolated Hawk defenders. The loss of Fleming's speed contributed after half time - could it be a serious calf or still just cramp?

I think they’re contracted for 21 hrs a week..(might include games??) and some do extra.
