Best result for both player and club is if he stays.
That is, unless he wants success before he retires.
Eagles should pay him and take that thought out of his head, and use him to drive values as a leader for the youngsters. More value for them beyond his output toward winning games.

This is the same club that "poached" Coleman-Jones, Jasper Pittard, Aidan Corr, and tried to sign Andrew Gaff on a 1M a year contract that if he had signed would have ran until the end of next year.
Literally the worst talent identification that's ever been seen in the AFL.
1.1M for a 31 year old who'll miss half the games, and won't be there in their premiership window is absolutely on brand here.
