I know we got smashed,
I know it was disgusting

But Ellis getting out on the pitch after being injured, forcing himself to play on to give us an extra rotation...

Kudos to the kid,
Tough kid.

He cried like a riewoldt. I thought it was very soft.

Ellis isn't soft. He's the opposite.

But if he had of stayed off with a sprained ankle in an elimination final then I would have been extremely disappointed in him.

A sprained ankle can hurt like hell for a while and it can limit you a bit when trying to change directions but he definitely should have went back out - as he did.

He did what was expected. Its hardly Dermie in the 89 GF.

The surface was to blame for the ankle injury, Hawthorn and jeff kennett should investigate the surface, If that injury occured at Etihad, im sure we would all hear about it!!! The surface at subi looked great today, but why were so many players slipping and loosing there footing especially in the first half?? i say it again, if that was Etihad, we would never hear the end of it!!

I rolled my ankle four months ago. It was freaking painful and was wincing in agony for about 2 or 3 minutes.

I couldn't put pressure on it for a week, and after four months still can't run on uneven ground without rolling it again. By the way it is still swollen.

If you think I am soft so be it, but I played two finals with a badly torn quadricep and ended up with a blood clot the size of a golfball in my leg. I still have a hole in my leg muscle that freaks people out to this day.

I tried to play through most injuries, but I can tell you the way I rolled my ankle last time I would have reacted like Ellis but even worse, as there is no way I would go back on, and if I did wouldn't have done what he did on the ground.

Most of you pansies probably never even played footy, and if you did would be out for the season with injuries these guys play through.

Yes, I've torn my quad and it was freaking painful. Could hardly walk.

Just don't get why someone would want to call a guy who works his nut off for us soft.

Call him whatever but he's not soft.

This is clearly a 'toast thread' to Ellis - let's keep it that way. Want to say something negative, then start a thread or go to the autopsy thread and post there.
