Th3 problem with handballs is where you draw the line. We saw enough goals ruled out in recent seasons for innocuous handballs in the buildup to goals that the rule was changed to what it is now.

For me (I haven't seen Joelinton) if it's handball in a non goal scoring situation by the scorer or assister the goal should be ruled out. If it's not handballs in a non goal scoring situation and someone gets an advantage from an innocuous handball, tough shit.

But PGMOL haven't been able to achieve any level of consistency with handball decisions since I've been watching the game so we shouldn't expect much consistency now.

I’d agree with the others that it’s unlucky, but it’s a penalty. He headbutted him…
This. Was on the wrong side of the contest relative to the ball.
Makes active decision to head the ball. Makes contact with the head.

Unlucky.
But penalty.

That's ok, apparently this wasn't handball and didn't benefit Newcastle despite a goal being scored about 3 seconds later lol View attachment 2197802
Where’s the traditional handball ? That’s a penalty every ****ing day. Hands out by the side, influencing the play. Disgraceful call

It wasn't in the box? And Newcastle are attacking?

Been a lot of snow in northern Engerland (and Southern Ireland - not as in the opposite of the country northern ireland, but the island of ireland). Man United aren't getting their wish though as it appears the game is still on.

Side note, it didnt snow in Dublin but a bit of an urban heat island + low level city. Snowed in the mountains about 5mins south of me.

I want the game to go ahead, get the flogging over and done with.

Conditions will trim 5 goals off the margin I'd say.

I'm stuck on a runway in Manchester cause of the snow. They closed all runways earlier in the day and still clearing the backlog.

He's almost always been a deep lying winger more than a defender.

It's probably not worth it now that his attacking edge is just very good rather than world class.
I know but it's the attitude to try and defend, doesn't look like it's there anymore.

I can see what you're saying but I still think that's being generous to his defending efforts previous seasons. I'd say the title winning season was the one time he was strong in that area.
Attitude rather than ability is my reference
