Not sure what Andy Robertson is doing there.

Pretty much the same thing as against Leicester City and other teams.

His best days are gone - has run himself into the ground for our team. Should be a squad player now.

Most of our goals conceded start on the right flank and then the opposite score from the left flank. Both sides are glaring weaknesses. The right has been a glaring weakness for a long time but now the left is also an area that can be exploited. IK and VVD are boss down the middle.

Robertson and TAA are always high whenever the opposition has possession, hence why teams attack the right flank.

Liverpool need to add a 3 man CBs to allow covering of these positions. Only why for Slot to limit the damage whilst attacking high around the box

A lot of it is attitude imo - I don't think TAA enjoys being a defender. He can come out and tell us things we want to hear, like he wants to have a legacy and be the best defender etc. However, his actions over the years where he doesn't defend with full intensity don't suggest that. It's not just about being out of position. It's about allowing too many crosses to come in, not defending strong enough at corners.

Robertson to his credit has a much higher work rate than TAA imo. With Robertson I would never question his effort or intensity, His mistakes are not effort based.

He doesn’t. He underestimates how much Konate, VVD, Matip in the past have covered him.

But can he be a full time mid? His touch and nous in close is pretty ordinary as say a MacAllister in his team excels at.

His build isn’t suitable for either RB or midfield. He should perhaps play as a centre forward behind a striker- a number 10. Only if he’s covered by two defensive mids.

Actually prefer Reece James when fit. A natural RB then defends and can run on the wing

Didn't they try him there last season or the season before and it didn't work at all because, as the commentators liked to say, in defence he gets more time and space to play a "quarterback" role but in the middle its constant pressure.

Both Klopp and Slot have tried to play to his strengths. So definitely agree with your thoughts. Hendo also helped him out.

Our system maximises most of our players to their potential. Take them out of the system and they are not as good. Gini, Coutinho, Mane, Hendo and there would be others.

Hence when our players leave they generally struggle at their new clubs.

Trent is a brilliant player who has had an amazing career to date. He was crap on the weekend and deserves the criticism, but I don’t agree with the re-writing of history and denigrating him as a player. He has been an integral part of a pretty successful team and it’s no surprise that a club like Real Madrid are desperate to sign him.

It's the rules. They make it very subjective on what a ref believes is natural and not natural

Ait-Nouri's arm is away from his body and the law states that by having their hand/arm in such a position, the player takes a risk of their hand/arm being hit by the ball and being penalised. The de Ligt call is probably more clear cut.

How do you fix the rules to make it less subjective?

I don't know if you can. It's sport, not everything can be black and white. There'll always be situations that require judgement.

The VAR call shouldn't take away from Forest's win. They've got real pace going forward and Wood is on a hot streak.

Pereira has got Wolves playing well and they were the better team for much of the game. But they have a really tough run of games ahead of them.

The camera focused on Thomas Tuchel in the crowd. Martin Tyler missed lifelong Wolves fan, Robert Plant, sitting in front of him.

Or Liverpool just got the best years out of those players

The officiating in this league isn’t serious lol. Only 24 hours after the penalty that Liverpool got yesterday, VAR doesn’t give that handball as a penalty.
Pretty much agree although I would say two things about the de Ligt handball - firstly his hand was way in the air and nowhere near his body - this morning at least the arm was near his side, and secondly the de List handball the ball was actually on target to go in.

They are very different.

The Forrest goal keeper had a day out - bloody hell he made some saves.

The Wolves player actually flapped his arm. I thought he was about to take flight. It seemed like a reflex attempt to stop the ball, while simultaneously trying to bring his arm in. If he had started with his arm out, I'd have sympathy but out and then in again ... should have been a penalty.

Don't think Wolves could complain if that was given a penalty.

The rules were changed this season to give an allowance to defenders when they are close to the ball being kicked. But that falls into the "making yourself bigger" category for me.

Borderline, but should have been given.

Trent is the greatest right winger who probably ever lived. Unlucky for him that his entire career he has played in a Liverpool team who doesnt play with wingers.

If he was playing in the 90's in a classic 4-4-2. He would be a god. Haha.

He's not a forward so doesnt play in a front three. Then we have a three man midfield so wingers dont exist. So he's kinda shoehorned into the full back role. He's so talented we need him on the pitch but he can also be a liability down back, not all the time, just some of the time.

It's a predicament for sure.

I don't even like complaining about refs normally but if you put the Joelinton handball, Saliba header, De Ligt Handball and the Ait Nouri one and showed them to refs all around the world and asked them to officiate on them I bet none of them get it the same way they were officiated this weekend.

Jesus will you ever shut up about that.

Also what you are saying is that it's a difficult game to referee by humans? who knew.
