Chelsea a bit unlucky. Hit the post, hit the bar, goal line clearances, narrow offsides.

Liam Delap is going to be in demand. Won and scored a penalty then set up the 2nd goal. He would be an upgrade on any of the United forwards. I think City have a buy back clause on him.

I think we'd have him back, but the challenge might be convincing him it's a good career move for him.

Personally I think Arsenal's lack of discipline earlier in the season has cost them more than any injury.

This where I would argue Arsenal have been unlucky. Two players given second yellows for a rule that has been applied twice all season when it happens multiple times in every game.

Letter of the law, blah, blah, blah, but you have to acknowledge “you’ve given me no choice” rings a bit hollow when referees can, and do, make a choice in every single game.

Cool….??
Hasn't had a window to get players who suit him or ship out guys holding United back. Reading nothing into Amorim yet. Next season is when the judgment starts

Depends if he gets backed by INEOS/Glazers with funds or not. We've already splurged a heap of cash on shit that needs to go, but can't see us getting much in return for many of them. Reports for Jan is there isn't money for Amorim.

If he isn't able to turf the shit and given a chance to build his own squad and identity, then why the hell bring him in? INEOS/SJR haven't got a clue.

Who are the players worth keeping? Who could be sold to raise funds?

Oh I totally agree, I am not saying Pool won't be deserved winners, and I imagine next year we will be shitting on the Balon D'or when Salah gets overlooked.

I just mean on years like this its so rare to see so much going perfect for Pool, and so much going wrong for everyone else. Its not a slight on them, its actually a reflection on how well their club is run that replacing a manager they will view as a legend hasn't resulted on them completely shitting the bed the following season.

And its not like Pool is the first team this is happening for, it was similar when Leicester won the title and we saw poor seasons from City, Liverpool and Chelsea and lots of things fell Leicesters way that didn't work out for other clubs.

Its the opposite to seasons like 13/14 where the top 4 was really tight and it came down to the fine margins for City to win the league.

A lot of luck is required to win the league, no shame in saying its not, and I don't want to be misquoted as saying "Pool won the league due to luck" because you need so much to go right and right now Pool are the best team in the comp.
But they have luck in how the other results and misfortune are hitting direct competitors. And so many things are falling their way.
IF Liverpool go on to win with 81 points which would equal Leicester as one of the lower points totals to win and then second place gets to 71 points (very low for second place) then I’m happy to call it lucky. If Liverpool continue their form and go past 90 points and Arsenal get their standard 85 points then Liverpool’s title is not luck nor comparable to Leicester’a. You cannot go 38 EPL games with mid week matches in other comps in between, get to 90+ points to win and then call it luck.

But you've cut the 50 quid vouchers for the stewards so you should be rolling in it now.

That’s it imo. We could probably get £30-40m for Rashford. A club could come in for Garnacho, been rumors of £60m to Atletico Madrid. Casemiro & Eriksen will go for peanuts.

Antony, Zirkzee, Hojlund, if they were to be moved on can’t imagine we’d get much, maybe around £40m for Hojlund (he has potential to be a solid striker).

Onana, just get rid asap.

Two deserved yellow cards. You have absolutely nothing to complain about.

Didn't he just move this year?

Bit harsh on Zirkzee and Hojlund, they'll both need more than just half a season to settle in.

I'd take Rashford at Arsenal for that money this month IF and only IF he is happy to be put on the left wing and stay there (and take a bit of a paycut).

I would add Fernandes, Garnacho and Dalot to the keep list, based on form. Maybe Hojlund too unless a decent offer comes in. He's only 21 so has potential to improve.

Rashford might attract £50m. Martinez £30m. Antony £25m.

But there's some very overpaid players at United who are not even getting a game. Casemiro on £350,000 per week until June 2026. Mount £250,000 per week until 2028. Rashford £300,000 per week until 2028.

Missing the point.

The cards were given, ok, whatever that’s life.

but where's the consistency? I can count 5,6,7 instances each weekend of players deliberately stopping play…..but how many result in a yellow card let alone a second yellow card?

Letter of the Law right? Or……not? Or only when it’s a full moon and the ref has an itchy left testicle?

Which is it?

Either give them all the time, or most of the time. Not once in a million years then defend it by claiming “you had no choice”....execpt all the other times you don’t do it.

Rashford would be a terrible signing for Arsenal. We already have Sterling not getting minutes because of his defensive limitations, Rashford is even worse at putting a defensive shift in.

I'd back Arteta to push him to change. Sometimes you have to take a risk.

Not missing the point at all. I just disagree with anyone that complains about someone getting booked for a bookable offence.

I also think the refs should be more consistent. And they do miss a lot of bookable offences. Including ones Arsenal players have gotten away with. It's frustrating but doesn't excuse stupidity of those that got booked.

Agreed with this. At this point of Arsenal’s repositioning in the search for major trophies, I don’t believe another speculative/we can fix him type signing is worth the risk. Especially with Saka out until late March/early April, whatever acquisition being looked at you need more certainty/stability in who you are bringing in.

We all know why, it’s about getting every 1% improvement you can, this is INEOS’ philosophy
