might aswell accpet the 2006 wooden spoon right now
campbell and taylor are good enough to take over the ruck

your kidding arent you? Doesnt look good if two of our players are walking out seems like a bit of a shambles. Pitty Everitt has walked out as that means Campbell will get another go around in a hawthorn jumper.

I suspected this was on the cards.

As much as I'd love to get Spida, I would be livid if the Swans agreed to trade O'Keefe.

Whatever happens, I'm guessing the next three days will be very interesting for both clubs. Here's hoping that we can find a deal that pleases both sides. :)

Just another reason why it should be open
slather on the player market.

Our hands are tied now, we are at Sydney's mercy.

Lets see what hapens...

We will be the laughing stock of the competition. Why do all our players want out?
Because they are old and realise we won't enjoy success in their time. For Spider, I suspect it's more personal than that though. He hated Grant Thomas for being a disciplinarian and seems to hate Clarkson for the same reason. Roos is more of a 'people's coach' so I reckon Sydney might appeal to him in that regard.

I'm not going to lose any sleep until one of Hodge, Mitchell, Croad, Brown, Franklin, Lewis, Roughhead express dissatisfaction with the club.

Its what happens when you dont go youth and
rebuild a team from scratch...

Topping up with players and then bottoming
out on the ladder doesnt make us an attractive
club for players to stay at (wanting success)
or for us to attract players to the club (no success)

We should cut our loses, trade these old farts
for picks and build up a young strong side.

This way players will think twice
about leaving thier matesand also when you
achieve success with a youthfull team, players
dont want toleave becuase of future success.

We only have our recruiting team (2003-2000) to blame
for the situation we are in now.

Yeah, real interesting for Hawthorn to see how many more players we can lose.

Mate, Sydney could yet do something silly and offer up one of our first 18. Hawthorn will gobble that up. I'm hoping like hell O'Keefe hasn't played his last game for the club, but it's theoretically possible.

Everitt was a dead-end for you guys. This three year contract we've offered is a sweetener - Everitt is being recruited for 2006/7, and we'll cop the salary cap hit if he's finished by 2008 because he'll give us a chance for a flag. By the time you guys are ready to challenge (and I think the future is reasonably bright), Everitt will be a shadow of his current self.

Not much good recruiting O'Keefe if we can't get the ball to him. O'Keefe's Dixon class and nothing more. We've been dudded ... again.

We could yet snare pick 27 for Saddington.

If we offered picks 19, 27 and 35, I'd struggle to understand why you wouldn't go for that. Would give you seven picks in the first 38, plus whatever you get for Hay.

You won't understand because you are getting what you want. You think we should take Sydney's rubbish and hand over the best ruckman in the league. Yeah, great deal ... for Sydney.

Is pick 19 Sydney's lowest pick?
