Having replays just for one round is stupid and makes no sense. If the main goal of these clubs is to get a replay rather than win then the whole idea of replays has run its course, that’s not what they were supposed to be for.

One thing they should do to give the smaller clubs more of a chance is to scrap extra time and go straight to penalties.

You missed my point. It's not about giving smaller clubs a chance to win games against big clubs. They are in the FA Cup to get to the third round and be drawn against a big club - for the financial benefit. And I meant replays up to round 3.

Yeah, some teams might play to get a draw but that's not a new concept. You see it quite often in the first leg of two legged ties. And there have been some cracking replay games over the years.

I do remember that vividly, was in UK at the time. Cost my father in law a 10 fold bet. IIRC odds were around the 1.05 mark too lol.
