We brought in Mark Stone thinking he'll be the ideal foil for Fagan. May be we have to look at Ross Lyon. If he's interested and can work as a strong 2IC. This team currently fits the Ross Lyon profile.

He'll tear shreds of our players if defense aspect goes missing and our core is at a maturity level where they can take it.
Couldn't afford Lyon.He said one night on Footy Classified he now makes more money being on TV than he did as a coach.I am sure he was on good coin at Freo so we cannot afford him.

At least he might have had the chance to win a premiership in some capacity, even if it means sacrificing some $$$$$.

Coaching is really really ****ing hard these guys don't just do it for the money but they have a real passion to coach. I bet if the right job came along Lyons would jump at the chance to coach again even on half the money.

When this sort of thing appears on the Lions Website - “IT’S TIME TO PANIC!”

The other thing is what is it with Fagan and golf? “Mulligans” and “Sub-par efforts.” It must have something to do with the fact that Fagan knows he’s going to have plenty of time to work on his golf if we go backwards this year. Winning finals is what it is all about and Fagan has not been good at that. A 1-5 finals win/loss record is proving to be an ‘albatross’ around Fagan’s neck.

Matthew Knights could be a good replacement at a post Fagan Lions. Like Vossie I think he would be primed for a second go at coaching at the top level.

P.S. Remembering that I am not available 😉

Disagreement noted. Who would you go for in a post Fagan club Nunez ?

Less focused of who will replace Fagan in a few years and more on the current season and next, but jeeze Knights is in no way a good choice for senior coach of any team.

I don’t mind him. I hope he gets another go somewhere.

If we replace Fagan for 2024, I'd prefer to grab one of the highly rated assistants who hasn't yet got to the top level, because we need new blood and fresh ideas. We should be able to get the cream since we're a finals team. Adem Yze and Adam Kingsley sound like the best ones out there.

I have been on the Coaching Wagon towards the end of last season and all of this season. Where we are now I could see it coming. Even my wife kept saying to me " Your Coach and Assistants are the issue". I have totally agreed with her. I can see the heat on the Coach and Assistants is going to increase from moderate to extreme by the end of the H&A Season. If we make the finals and go out in our first final (makes it 1 win 6 losses), surely the club has to react to the failures under Fagan and Assistants. This season so far, I cannot say that I have been extremely happy with our performances but I cannot see anything that's given me the impression that we will improve from now to the end of the season - Nothing changed in the last 2 years. Sadly, our opportunity may have passed. I am hungry for another Flag - it took me most of my life to get 1 but fortunate to get 3 flags. How good was that. We have to be ruthless, make the hard decisions and definitely get the quality expertise into our club. We now claim we are a destination club but if we continue the way we are at present, I can assure you we won't be a destination club. What brings Players and Supporters to the Club: SUCCESS.

Chris Scott anyone ?
Doesn’t he have the best winning %

Are you seriously expecting that a coaches wrap up of a 3 game stretch, posted by the club on the website and on social media, is going to be like "our boys are a disgrace to the jumper, they show no passion and are lazy and unaccountable, and us coaches should all be sacked'?

They should have also promised not to take the boys out for ice cream anymore. And no half time zooper doopers. Its obvious to me the coaches have no idea.

Fagan said the melbourne game was as bad as we've played in a long time

You'd hope for more in a coaches video to provide a deeper insight than we'll melbourne played better

Over time I have seen on our board many mentions of other club supporters eating their own when things don't quite work out as they think they should...

...well let me tell you guys, we are not all that far behind them with the diabolical posts I've seen on our board in recent days..

The calls to get rid of Fagan etc has been terrible to read.

Our club has been decimated by injuries and COVID no less. What on earth do you expect?

I've read the players we did put out there last week didn't try, no effort. Perhaps they were recovering and just didn't have a whole lot of energy yet? Or not up to the standard of the players who were out?

I could go on further but I won't.

We are still in contention for the flag, in the 8.

Hell, only a few years ago we would've jumped for joy just to be there. Well we're there now but now with a few hiccups. Lets see how we go after the next few weeks.

Please, just settle down and have patience with both the coaches and players for what they are going through
