Part of the fun of going to Whitten Oval in the dark days of 79-82 was to stand at the Cowshed end and listen to his jokes.
The laughter was so loud at times that even the players would look around to see what was happening...

Last year I often had medallion club seats right infront of Rus. He's still funny as, although he needs to work on some new material. Almost every week, the 1st free kick of the game paid at our end he'd scream out "About time Ump! He's been doing it all day!"

Anyway he said "Go bulldogs, woof, woof".
