Again…Its annoying that Evans played the last 11 games and Natkle the last 13. Could have thrown some of them to Lorenz and Jackson really
So when I retired my employer was required to keep paying me. Sounds legit.
So Brisbane have to pay Joe Daniher next season as he was released from his contract, due to retirement, with a year left to run.Mick Voss and Alipate Carlile are examples of this happening.
Collected the 12 months’ cash and counted against the cap.

It's called having enough experience on the park to save Stinkley's job.**** me how often do we do this.
I am not sure exactly how it works with retirement. If it is totally player enforced, there is likely an out as Tribey said.So Brisbane have to pay Joe Daniher next season as he was released from his contract, due to retirement, with a year left to run.
Yeah I think you are correct, as far as I know Tom asked to be released from his contract, so that wouldn't that be like breaking one, so I wouldn't think the club would have to pay him out.So Clurey could sit out of football next season and we'd still have to pay him despite him asking to be released from his contract? That doesn't sound right.
If we have released him from his contract neither party is bound by any obligations under that now void contract. He doesn't have to train and play for us and we don't have to pay him.
Can't they renegotiate it? So instead of 500k+ next year... He could get it paid out over 5 years at 100k?So Brisbane have to pay Joe Daniher next season as he was released from his contract, due to retirement, with a year left to run.

Scully was told he just doesn't have that competitive mongrel and work ethic they want. They tried to get it out of him, but he didn't exhibit it and they don't believe he will make it based on that.
He may not play on although asking to be released from his contract suggests he has a commitment from another club to take him on. Either way I can't get my head around the club having to pay him for a contract he is not fulfilling.I am not sure exactly how it works with retirement. Clurey hasn't retired though, he will play on. Thus his contract within the AFL system stands.
I've been a casual for a couple of years now because I've been overseas but I've remembered a couple of Evans and narkle goals and I can't remember the ****all from Jed except for a tackle against Hawthorn. Sign him on though lolWhat sets McEntee apart from Narkle and Evans? **** all. I would have kept the other two before him.

We do this again and again and again. It's insanity.
Hinkley loves a low ceiling small. He plays them all the time, even when there are positions of need, even when we've got talented kids in the SANFL, even when we're too short, even when the low ceiling small is wildly out of form.
Ratkins will 100% play at AFL level for us, it's basically a certainty unless Hinkley is sacked.
