Nice little segment on Jase on Yokayi Footy tonight in their Deadly Draftees segment. Gilly kept calling him Peter junior. Said he will be under pressure to perform because of his name and talked about Jase's bloodlines.

Said mum's side of the family are the Cooper family and Jase's grandfather played for South Melbourne in late 1960's early 1970's. AFL Tables says its Reuben Cooper and only played 2 A grade games. I wonder if Jase's mum is related to Malcolm Cooper who played a handful of games for Port in the mid 1950's.

Andy Krakouer used a word I have used about Jase in the potential father son thread when I saw him play for the Magpies last year, he has - composure.

They showed footage of Peter and geez it was good viewing. As Andy Krakouer said, and was evident in the footage, one bloke you didn't want to give space and time in front of the footy was to Peter Burgoyne. Gilly went on about Peter's skill and pace.

Not sure if he’ll get a game this year but that’s ok ., I’d be worried he’d do an ACL at AFL level with his skinny legs , they’ll get there , next year for Jase , maybe a run at the end of the year , I do rate him though at this stage

He hasn't put a foot wrong. Has speed, can find the ball, a good user also entrusted with kick ins and can tackle despite being built like a grasshopper.

Burgoyne unbelievable leap! Would you believe it?

Well I guess not based on the initial assessment.

Still super grab! Unbelievable.

Has to put on some size. Wont cut it otherwise. Looks like hes 12 years old still.
I feel like he is one of those wirey indigenous players who has strength that belies his size.

I think he'll fill out fine like uncle Shaun but he'll be able to hold his own well before he does too.
