This thread reminds me of a t-shirt the Coopers Brewery released in GF week 97. There was a coopers logo and below it printed "this saturday let's make victoria bitter". Classic!

Carton of Hahn ice..which none of mates drink..and a bottle of Absolute Vodka..the king of vodkas..which every ^%^%$^$ will drink

VB? Hahahaha. You must be kidding... VB is cats pi*s. Coopers has won a hell of a lot more awards than VB. VB is sh*te.
Coopers by a long way.

Well maybe you can bring a six pack of imports for the after match celebrations :D
But yeah, domestic beer for the game and BBQ.

I make my own home brew, so I chose VB instead... but I chose that as a FOOTY BEER... if I wanted to drink beer for the sake of it, I would drink Boags, or something like that... perhas something foreign.

I have never HEARD of Little Creatures, Grand Ridge OR Matilda Bay... what are they?

come on people, VB? It's half beer half water... is that why you people like it? Can't handle full strength beer?

James Squires - PILSNER NOT THE OTHER ONE!!!!

get a clue ...

just got back from europe and there beer is all very easy to drink ...

VB is a lot tougher to handle!!! thats why it doesn't sell overseas, first night back on the ******** after getting back i couldn't drink it without cringing everytime i touched it!!!

after a bit of training i can drink it all night now ... to say its a soft beer just shows us all how bloody ignorant u are about ur beers m8.

happy drinkin :D

Um, you must be kidding blue boy... What about coopers pale, or especially sparkling? VB is water in comparison. I have had a lot of international beers, and they vary. Some are easy to drink, some aren't. Depends where you go.... they mainly brew lager's and pilsner's there.

Blue Boy next time you're in Sydney there is a pub at The Rocks called the Lowenbrau where sexy girls in lederhosen (?) serve it to you in 1 litre steins.

For the footy and BBQ it has to be either VB or West End Draught, I know they are not the best beers about but they are a great footy beer.
Best beer around is Corona by a mile, I could drink that all day.

Gotta love the European beers though especially the Belgian ones, 5 beers and your gone!

Hofbrau is worth a mention...anyone been to the hofbrau house in Munich?...I was in heaven!

Lowenbrau it a ripper beer, Carlton is drinkable but i wouldn't buy it. Heinekan, Boags and Redbacks are also amongst my favourites. I'm not much of a beer drinker untill the summer though, i stick to Bundy for the footy of some bourbon or Ouzo.
