Fevola a Lion

Is this me stretching logical reasoning too far by saying "Well John Curtin, arguably the greatest Autralian ever was an alcoholic" to make me feel better about the trade?

Fevs not an alcoholic, he just can't handle the drink.
There is a big difference.

He is a fool though, he always has been he always will be.

Keep him on the straight and narrow and he'll put bums on seats and make you very happy.

Enjoy now, pay later...feel for Bradshaw - loyalty don't count nowadays and I think Risca will walk next season to GC cos there no trust between him and the club. Voss has become arrogant and blinded by the power to succeed.

Uhh, you know Bradshaw is staying right?

And you also know why Rischa said no to the move right? He WANTS to stay with the Lions. Doubt that will change.

this will be Brendans only friend up there...

*sigh*... if this and the other moronic post were supposed to be funny you missed the mark by a bloody long way.

How bout you go back to your board and try and find something positive to say about your team instead of being clueless on ours.... please?

Halfman_HalfRoo is the kinda of idiot that I'm afraid a few Lions supporters might end up becoming. So morally objected and offended about his offield antics, forgetting his on field ability that they'll post rubbish or disgusting crap like Halfroo has done..... or from what I've read on Foxsports blog, tear up their contract.....

I for one believe people can change. Hasn't anyone else seen Rocky 4? :D

Hey guys

Huge Fev fan, who really didn't want him to go. Seems like it was best for both Carlton as a club, and Fev himself though.

That said, hope he turns it on for you guys(except against us.ok-he's likely to kick 10 lol) Hope you guys embrace him too. Is he perfect? Oh hell no. But the majority of you will love watching him every week

Wish him, and the Lions, all the best 2010

Cheers mate... same to you.

Look after Hendo hey... he was one of our favourite sons :)

Hi guys..........

This is my first post on Bigfooty for, ohhhh maybe 2 years now.

I am a die hard passionate Carlton fan, but am a Brisbane lions fan 2nd.

In Fact, i have an autographed framed photo of Kevin Murray taking a speccy hanging in my house..............
My grandfather (who passed away last year) LOVED the lions, and my mother stil stays true to her Fitzroy boys!

On Fevola,,........... it's heartbreaking to see him go.

He is a ture Gem. There is nothing better than watching him turn a game around in the freakiest of ways and listening to 70,000 people scream "FEVOOOOOOLLLLLLLAAAAAAAAA"

As a person, YES - Fevola is an idiot at times, but.........

He is also a genuinely lovely guy who will have all the time in the world for any of you supporters.

With the Kids, he is just a wonder. He can communicate with them on a level that they relate to and they just adore him.

Fev simply had to go.............. BUT........ If carlton thinks for a moment that all our troubles are gone because Fev is we are clearly deluded.

The Culture at our club leaves me with a sick feeling.

Our president is a complete idiot.
After our loss to you guys in the finals, he takes our kids out to get drunk.......yet two weeks later has stern words to Fevola for drinking to much and making a fool of himself........ HELLO????? This is the same guy who's made famous for a drunken recital of "Stand by your Man"??????

Our forwards coach (Matty Lappin) slams Fev when he does bad, but yet everytime we go inside 50.....who do we kick to......FEVOLA....... I CANNOT WAIT to see what kind of plan he comes up with next year.

SWANN - well......... hmmm,.,.........is it co-incidence that he had similar problems with players during his time at Collingwood?

Which leads me to arguably the best player in the game:-

Chris Judd.
Good Player YES. Good Leader?................... $%#& NO!

Similar to Swann, he has these problems follow him.
Cousins - Kerr - Gardiner - etc etc etc etc..........

Now it comes to light the Judd himself was with Fevola drinking some 8 or so hours before the brownlow even started.

Swann, Ratten, Judd.......even Twigley and Murphy and Alex.........all of them thought he was so funny on Brownlow night.
I wonder if any of them are laughing now.

Fevola will bring you more than you can imagine. He is a Carlton legend in my eyes already.
70+ goals per year alongside of Brown????? Good God? Maybe another premiership before the decades up.

Fevola, under a decent captain in Brown and a good young coach like Voss, will flourish! I Promise You!

Best of luck next year and i'll be watching you all cheer on who i think is the most exciting player in the leauge.............. and i'll be watching with envy!

FEV;- I miss you already mate. You hurt me with your antics and broke my heart......... but i wish you the best mate and hope you kick ass in Brisbane!

GO BLUES!!!!!!!!! (and up the Lions!)

I read on another site (Link) that Henderson wasn't the Blue's plan B - it seems their next option was Sherman.

I would have been so pissed off if Sherman was traded today He proved this year that he got quite alot of talent hes gonna be a star of the future.:thumbsu:

Just to echo what other Blues fans have probably already said, yes Fev can be such an idiot and his mental strength doesn't seem very strong, however he is a really kind man when it comes down to it and he is amazing with kids.

And of course, as a footballer he is truly exceptional. One of the most naturally talented players I've ever seen.

It's going to feel very strange without Fev in the Navy Blue.

I'll be watching every Lions game from now on, as weird as it might feel...:footy:

I heard a story on SEN (I think it was prior to the start of the season) where Fev was at a charity function and he donated quite a large sum of money. Funny how these things don't make the front page of the papers.

Is anybody good at photoshop.... I really want to see Fevola in a Lions jumper

If someone can do that for me, I will really appreciate it

FTW.. hahah.

What? Not the gernzy you were after? huh? ehee
Mods deleted the thread with my awesome fake new lions logo in it, hopefully they can see the humour in this post.

you can tell its obviously a fake because theres no way any team will have enough defense to double team our forward line next year. (plus the obvious time travel impossibility issues)

Reading this thread made me feel much better.

I think we are more emotionally invested and a little "too close" to the situation, but most neutrals seem to be appreciating what Voss is trying to do here.

I'm still mourning Hendo, but I am really starting to get excited.
