Can we keep this thread just to the ongoing membership numbers and not get into the usual fighting about who has the bigger supporter base, status as big 4/5/6 etc.?

Collingwood - 78,259 (Revised Target - 80,000)

There are always going to be significant discrepancies early due to timing of membership package releases, timing of reserved/ongoing club memberships come out etc.
Let's keep it civil people!

How do you expect it not to be fight over who has the biggest supporter base when you create a thread like this?

I am happy for our club to increase our support, we don't need to be the biggest club to appreciate moving forwards.

What are every clubs targets this year?

NFI, our club wants to hit 20k by end of Christmas. We are currently at 13,777. This time last year we were on 9,943, an increase of 38.5% on this time last year.

/snip

Yet you ranked them by membership numbers rather than alphabetically. o_O

Huge increase, finals paying off I guess. Everything else the same (same memberships, released same dates, same marketing etc)?

That's a fair effort :thumbsu:

Richmond's target is 60,000. I think we'll get 65,000 if we make the finals.

Would like to see the membership tally from the same time last year as something to compare with. Expecting most clubs to experience a rise in membership once again, maybe less than what we have seen in previous years. Hopefully GWS and GCS can expand their membership base, would be very good for the game

LOL. Tuggers and Dawks get ready for a war!!!

On topic though, Collingwood had an article out stating they were well over 40k so they're going to break all sorts of records again!!!

Melbourne should be able to get to 40k this year if we win some flipping matches!!!

Richmond start making finals and their membership numbers will be HUGE. Let's hope it never happens.

No, our membership came out a month earlier this year, was delayed last year due to the late finalisation of the Hobart fixture I believe. Our auto-renewals are up a bit more on last year. I believe the membership packages are the same.. 30/11/2011 we were on 9,025 and that year the release dates were fairly close.

I doubt we will sustain that growth, I think if we can push to 35/36k it will be a good effort. I am hopeful of achieving small sustainable gains and over a period of time have a good supporter base for playing out of the Docklands.

Just posting our numbers in the one post for anyone interested. 13,777(2013) 9,943(2012) 9,025(2011) have been our numbers at 30/11.

2012 had Tasmanian memberships, 2011 didn't. Membership went on sale 8/10/2012, 13/11/2011 and 14/10/2010.

Sydney - ?

Geelong's figure is 9798, which I find a little surprising. I thought it'd be higher.

Brisbane's number is very worrying, already getting beaten by Gold Coast and GWS.

Do you reckon it'll slow down when you're found guilty of tanking and lose the next three year's draft picks?

It'll go up, more time for the snow! No longer do you have to feel committed!

It's already on a downward trajectory after the great year that was 2012.
