Hopefully the club is vigorously petitioning the AFL for a Friday or Saturday game.

They said on the broadcast today that a Thursday final is apparently locked in.Brisbane and Richmond. But I think it will be the usual Fri night, Sat, Sat night, Sunday.

Yeah I'm with you... I could only do a SaturdayIf the first final was Sat i could get to it but if it is Friday nope no chance
I'm far more concerned that if we win it would be the only serious footy we've faced since the first half of the Dogs game in July.I agree. Hence my post. I think we'll be too good but a big final in front of a rabid Pies crowd will be a good tune up. Want to see how a few of our guys handle that heat.
Fri night, Sat Arvo, Sat night and Sun arvo are the perfect times.
Sportsbet have Geelong the shortest / and most likely winner from week one of finals.
Whatever we can take from that I don’t know?

Why are they so invested in a Thursday night game? Horrible timeslot.

Yeah but COVID meant half full games anywayIn 2020 Port were minor premiers and we played them on the Thursday night.
Last year 2nd v 3rd (Demons v Lions) was the Thursday night game.
I think there’s a big chance we are scheduled for the Thursday, biggest night of the week for TV ratings and AFL will justify it by saying minor premiers deserve the longest break to a semi final if they lose.
If Melbourne get a Saturday arvo final I’ll spew
Brisbane should be paying $3.50+ on their formline
jeez that is very disrespectful to a collingwood side that has won 12/13 of there last matches. they should be neck and neck with us especially infront of 70,000 screaming pies fans at the MCG.

Easiest interstate final for quite some time, Richmond have the easiest game of the lot imo esp how well they play the GabbaBrisbane should be paying $3.50+ on their formline

i rate them a bit higher than you do. i think this is a mini grand final preview. the winner of this one will go on to the GF and probably win it. I think this game is going to be colossal. They've played 8 games against the Top 8 and won 3.
We've played 8 and won 6.
About right I reckon.
yep i am backing the lions. Richmond are good but not what they once were.Tbh I think Brisbane pip the Tigs
