I have a soft spot for the Lions as I lived there. Big Gabba games get a lot of casual supporters who don't always go to the footy and are a bit shit at being vocal/knowing the game inside out like the hardcore Lions supporters do. When they play us, there's extra spice (they "hate" us despite our relative indifference to them) and they get more raucous. A full Gabba with a loud crowd is a great thing.

But when you get a huge slab of Tigers supporters in the ground and the casual locals aren't as emotionally invested in the opposition you get this weird flat atmosphere at stages when it should be pumping.

The silence as they walked off at half time was a good example.
