I used to go on my own since I didn't have family members to go with, my colleagues weren't Bulldog supporters and I lived in the Eastern suburbs most of the years I lived here. I did get to know the people I sat around at the Whitten Oval when we played there.

When I lived in Perth and was a West Coast member, I sat with the same people every match at The WACA and Subi and had a great time. I wore my red, white and blue and barracked for all the Victorian teams. I was known simply as "Footscray". Got to know Adrian Barich's family since I sat next to them and his little brother went to the school I taught at, Aquinas College. Even was invited to dinner once at his parents' home and he stopped by.

I used to go to some Storm games with a colleague back in '98 and '99.
