Robbie Gray as an assistant?
No idea if he wishes to pursue it but he seems like a decent bloke and was a very crafty fwd/mid.

We should bring in Aaron Sandilands as ruck coach. "Just get bigger, boys. That was my secret. Just be huge."

I see Lenny Hayes has gone back to Saints.

I wonder where Matthew Scarlet is now. Was the Geelong defensive coach before this year where he was let go because of how he preferred some of his players? Anyways he's a big part for how geelong's defense opperate

Chris Grant: 'Hey Bevo, I hear Matthew Scarlett may be available. Super smart operator and only left Geelong because he couldn't agree with some of the head coaches ideas.'

Bevo: 'Yeah, nah'.

Kennedy (fwd coach), Kennedy (mids), Scarlett (defenders), Dean Cox (rucks) or Goldy when he retires

Is there anything to suggest either of the Kennedy’s or Goldy can coach and coach well? Not every good player is automatically a good coach.

Absolutely not, however with tutoring/guidance helping them impart their knowledge they couldnt be any worse than some of the personnel already filling those roles - IMO

This.

I thought Mundy might be worth a look at. That was until I heard a Podcast where he was the guest. Terribly nervous and socially awkward.

If the person has strong general industry knowledge and has good communication and people management skills, it’s a better start than that of a gun player who struggles to hold a conversation.

If Bubba is to retire, Scarlet should be our 100% target as new D coach, without a doubt.

The two guys I would like to get as assistants would be Blake Caracella - midfield (given everything happening at Bumbers he maybe gettable ) and Jaymie Graham - Forward line coach but highly unlikely he would be gettable but he did a good job with West Coast both as a forward line coach and backline coach.

I knew Peter Rhode was never going to be a good head coach because he was pretty nervous every time he was interviewed. He would then have to talk to 40 professional athletes and staff. But that same person can still be an excellent communicator in smaller groups and one on ones. Right role for the right person is important.
