Wasn’t sure where to put this.

I just clicked on the footy tipping just to see what it’s about.

And there was my name as a participant.

Elixuh what’s the go? I’ve never registered, but seeing as I’m in, how do I play?

Go to tipping link, select lions competition and put tips in bus red manage my tips button.

Hey MSB ROYS. My question was, how could I be registered as a participant if I never joined.
There was 2 questions in your original post.
He answered one of them.
The other is inexplicable, only thing I can think of is that you accidentally clicked on the (join link) a little while ago?

It's to do with managing player fatigue if they schedule multiple games for teams in a short period of time.
Not a huge fan of the shorter quarters permanently but if it allows for a "fairer" comp for this disrupted season then its ok.

Better swap back next season though

Fast starts will be bloody important too as a lead beyond 5 goals will be tough to peg back, particularly in the back half of the third quarter and beyond.

One thing is will definitely affect how the season plays out. Melbourne for example have massively focussed on improving their endurance and running to be able to run over teams. Will that be detrimental now? Kinda amusing as that will be the second year in a row that rule changes have "screwed" over Melbourne's game plan

executives taking pay cuts to save the country
My company has implemented that - 10% cuts in base pay with corresponding decreases in their incentive packages as well.

I know footballers are taking pay cuts due to not playing and saving the league, but why aren't politicians and executives taking pay cuts to save the country?
Bet the bankers still get their bonuses this year.
Some of the debate in recent days regarding the players stance is quite interesting.

Either a lot of them are clueless i.e. Jack Riewoldt talking players up for "putting their bodies on the line" in the bushfires game to Patrick Dangerfield talking about players having to support grandparents / paying for siblings to study (really; those same siblings haven't heard of HECS) when clearly the rest of Australians don't have those same responsibilities to Tom Rockliff talking about the players having to investment properties to look after etc., I can see why so many people are turning on the players collectively, particularly when so many Joe Public's are just being laid off and have never been on the money 80% of players are on, so I'm taking players accepting a 'pay cut' with a grain of salt when it will only be for a 2-3 month window.

At this stage they have agreed to a 50% pay cut for 2 months pay only.
They have already been paid 100% pay for 5 pay months from November last year.
So at this stage they have only agreed to an 8% pay cut for the year thus far through to the 27th May?????

Yup. Some of the players need a fair dose of reality reminder.

I don’t get the language around, “they have agreed to a 50% pay cut...”

Agreed with who? Each other.

They were made an offer, and came back with a counter offer.

The Aflpa and players have agreed to a 50% pay cut for the next 2 months.
The AFL has not yet hit go, because I believe they were after 60% minimum pay cut.

Supposed to be home game vs Kangaroos tonight, got me thinking about the classic last year with the full melt down and attempted take over of our board by Kangaroos supporters and the mods on their board, worst losers I've ever seen I reckon. Joke of a supporter base. Might put the game on Kayo tonight.

Fox Footy is showing a Lions v North game at 7:30pm tonight from round 3, 2003 on channel 503.
