Just looking for a new pick for my Avatar and I stumbled across the Lions Hall of Fame page. Leppa's pic is not there just a silhouette with his name under it. Did he say to the club..... you can stick your HoF.... when he was sacked? He is such an integral part of our history.... I hope bridges can be mended down the track if this is the case.

Could be some more upgrades to The Gabba. They will also decide whether to renovate the Gabba or build a new stadium at Albion Park Raceway which will mean construction of a major transport line, likely a train network.

I thought the Gabba was getting a renovation to coincide with the underground rail station opening anyway.... or is that just new and improved entry points highlighted by a pedestrian bridge across Main Street from the station?

Cross River Rail it says there will be a pedestrian bridge and the front of The Gabba where the park is will be getting a upgrade. Above the station they can build stuff like restaurants and bars.

For the Olympics if the pick The Gabba to host the opening and closing ceremony and athletics there going to do more work on the inside.

Go for broke and build up over the emitter streets surrounding. I'm sure it could be done but not sure about impacts on the other side's of the streets

The playing surface would need to be lengthened by about 15 metres in order to accommodate the athletics track, which, of course, would mean bye bye Verandah.

Have been watching the documentry "Making their Mark"....such a pity it's not on FTA, it is so good, the background music is fantastic. Just brilliantly done all round.

How anyone could throw crap at Eddie Betts is beyond me, he is such a lovely, caring person. Doesn't deserve it.

is a terrible coach, no connection whatsoever to his players.

*2. Coniglio should not be captain. Doesn't have that special something to lead his players. Seems to be floundering in the job. Feel sorry for him actually.

The doco is following NicNat, Rory Sloan, GWS, Eddie Betts, the Suns and Tigers through all the dramas of 2020. Fascinating to see it all unfold behind the scenes.

Have only seen the first 3 episodes so far, 7 in the series apparently.

(the bit where West Coast I think it was, played us at the Gabba was just goosebumpy stuff! For me anyway.....oh, and there's lots of "F" words!)

Sticky threads stay at the section at top of the list.

Other threads move up and down in their section based on when they were last used with most recent always moving to the top of the list.

Too many lined up for his position as that inside player. Guys like Neale and Lyons and Berry in seniors, and we've probably got half a dozen others in reserves with potentially higher ceilings.

He never showed it whilst playing for us.

He showed it in every reserves game he played for us.

We never gave him a run in his natural position, inside mid.

We drafted Matho and Keays in the same draft. Matho was always given a run as an inside mid, and not asked to play another position.

Keays was asked to play wing, or small forward, and to become a bit of a utility type, when that has never been his game.

You guys have given him his chance, which he never got here. Bit of a slow and late developer.
