Similarly to the Adelaide FL/SAAFL and other football league pages on Wikipedia, I've been working on a list of the former clubs of the WAAFL/PFL. Unfortunately, it seems like there's much less info online about the WAAFL/PFL compared to other leagues so I've struggled to fill out the table as much as some others I've been working on. Any information would be much appreciated, or any other sources that might help.

I will have a good look at it when I get the chance. There is a spreadsheet on the Perth FL's history portal, located at https://perthfootballhistory.com.au/clubs-overview but you probably found that already.

I have some old WAAFL fixture books from the 1970s and 1980s and some old grand final Budgets so I might be able to add a few things, like Army was also known as 5MD Army Swans and that Applecross was known as the Numbats (there was a separate club by the same name in the Sunday FL, but they went by the more boring nickname of the Hawks).

In one of the seasons in the early to mid 1980s (1982?), Westside Football ran a small summary of selected clubs each week, with formation years, colours and grounds included. They can be viewed at https://perthfootballhistory.com.au/westside-football

jumperfan I have added anything from the 1986 fixture book that wasn't there.

I have some PDFs of fixture books from the 1960s and 1970s somewhere on a USB. If I find the PDF's then I will add anything missing to the list.

Unfortunately, the fixture books prior to the early 1980s only had a list of league and club secretary details and the fixtures for each division.

For many years, the WAAFA/WAAFL booked grounds (including WAFL grounds when those clubs played away) and allocated matches to venues so, depending on what division a club was in, sometimes a club's home ground was used primarily as a training venue apart from an occasional home game. The league would try and get as many A Division games at WAFL venues.

Ah that does make sense. I was a bit confused by the amount of clubs that seemed to play home games at Perth Oval.
